Re: Cop xt 09 cctv dvr
Check the voltages on the black/red and black/yellow connector. Red == 5v, Yellow == 12v as a start. The little cans on the board are capacitors. If any of them look swollen or they have leaked onto the board, they are likely damaged.
Does the fan come on when the unit is powered up?
There is a label that says "remove seal after washing" Maybe you better wash the board and remove the seal... heh
I would also suggest getting a picture of the power supply board.

by CDNBrewerHello Everyone,
I have an Onkyo TX-SR353 Audio/Video Receiver (5.1 ch with HDMI) that I am having a really hard time diagnosing and I'm about to throw this in the junk and go buy a new unit that is on sale until the 7th.
Symptoms:- Intermittent (part of the reason why i'm having a hard time isolating problem), sometimes will work for 10+h at a time without issue
- Original symptom was wife reported loud banging noise (like someone was banging on the wall with their fists) from the LEFT SURROUND speaker and then the unit shut off.
- I swapped the Left and Right surround

by SheppmaHi, we have a number of Streamax X5-E0804 vehicle CCTV recorders that are dead - they all have a power supply PCB with 5 10F 2.7v super capacitors which have leaked and buckled, but replacing them doesn't fix the fault. Digging deeper it seems that there short circuit somewhere, but so far I have been unable to locate the faulty component. its a long shot but has anyone come across these DVR's or better still have a schematic?

by 74kieranHi,
I have an external CCTV microphone photos attached. The two cables (green and blue have come off the little microphone chip) however the pad has gone off the chip when someone dropped it.
There are a few metal bits poking up but solder wont attach as the pad has gone. Is there a way to repairing it? (I can solder) I was thinking of trying to attach a trace pad to the metal bits to see if it joins.
I have seen online some of them have the copper pads further down. Could I scrape the top off and go straight to the pad that way?

There are videos on youtube for every other model but this one, I do not have the switch on the board or reset jumpers.
