    TCL 43U6406 firmware problem

Hello, i got this TV that show only logo at startup. I try putting new firmware but when i hold down power btn at statup to get flash proces, TV reboot itself and wont start flash proces. I use USB 4GB with FAT system file format. I downloaded original firmware from official TCL website. One time TV started the flash proces but it stuck at one point at stay there for hours. After that no luck with it. Is it possible that the chip went bad or there is other thing to consider?

    Board label: 40-MT58DU-MAB4HG
Manifactuer of TV: TCL (also known as THOMSON 43UC6406)

This may work, notice how he blows on it but just short bursts because obviously long breaths would just heat it up and you don't want that, you can also give it a shot of freeze spray and see if it stays on longer, to try and verify the issue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJ8HSLlOwA8

I do not this that this is the problem here. When i put Update.zip on USB and hold pwr buttin when turning on then it say 'No update available' and stay there. If i put the 'V8-T658T01-LF1V551.zip' on stick it blink LED in stick and restart itself.

          Hi,
          Do you know keys places?
I have dump, and I can fix it. (dump is not the same that firmware)
However, TV loose Netflix access without keys transfer.
(Also you need to have a programmer for EMMC. It's not available with USB)

                ThinkPad X1 Nano (20UN) bricked
                by nordlicht
                Hi guys,

while trying to mod my ThinkPad X1 Nano (model 20UN) I got too impatient to hold the wires pressed to the SPI Flash contacts, so I soldered wires to it, but wasn't paying attention when connecting my programmer and, stupidly, swapped VCC and GND. Thus I fried the main SPI Flash, and I only have an incomplete/corrupt dump (u49_incomplete.bin). The secondary SPI flash on the board (W25Q256JVEIQ) seems to hold two redundant copies of the EC firmware (at 0x1000 and 0xc0000) as well as a redundant BIOS copy. I am fairly confident that the secondary Flash dump is correct (dumped...

Nikon D800 camera - flash don’t work and capacitor don’t charge
                by corrize
                Hello, I'm stuck in troubleshooting…
The flash system works like that : when the (mechanic) flash button is pressed, the flash mecanically pop up, and a circuit buck boost elevate 7v (batt) to 200-300v (?) for charging the big capacitor. And when the photo shoot button is pressed, the capacitor is discharged in the xeon light.

In the D800, there is a first « power board » close to the battery. 2 wires (batt 7v) goes to another little « flash board ». I measured 7v, so ok.
When I press the flash button, it's detected by the system, flash icon appear on LDC display....

Problem with LG Plasma 60PM6700 - Random power downs
                by theone111
I have an LG Plasma TV 60PM6700 for the past ~12 years.

In the last ~3-4 months I have been having some issues.
                1. Problem: It started with random picture disappearing (sound still worked).
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait a few seconds before turning it on again.
                2. Problem: Then it got worse and the TV started to shut down and when turning on the no picture just sound.
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait about 10-20 seconds and turn it on again to solve.
                3. Problem: TV shuts down
                ...
