Just posting this out of curiosity of who else has seen similar failures on this or other similar models. I picked this up yesterday and was told by the owner that they were watching the TV one evening. Zero issues. Next morning it looked like the attached. The spot is almost a perfect circle and there is no visible impact damage. She said that it was not hit with anything and there were no kids in the house. I personally haven't seen a failure quite like this.

looks like a cap from the led backlight has stuck to the diffusers
I cant see how it could be a screen faultComment

Re: Weird Screen Failure Samsung UN55KU6300F
The fault is with the lcd panel itself, there are video's showing a way to remove this by using a q-tip and working the black circle to the edge of the panel. Here is one video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_sn6yU5tao
There are other video's, just search "black circle on lcd panel"
I have not tried this myself as I don't have not had a panel with this problemLast edited by R_J; 10-14-2020, 09:59 AM.Comment

Re: Weird Screen Failure Samsung UN55KU6300F

by ChrissygizmoHello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same... -
by KYBOSHPicked this up to resurrect.
When I plugged it in it comes on for about 1 minute... after a minute the screen blacks out and I gets blinking red lights on the power button.
I read that a common issue with this model is a failed BGA so I ordered a replacement on eBay.
Sometimes the TV would produce an expanding blob on the screen before going black.
See Video here
I ordered a replacement board off of eBay and installed it tonight and got the same behavior.
Did I get another defective board or is there an issue with... -
by ChrissygizmoHi , I've recently replaced the screen in my Samsung galaxy ao2s, at first it wouldn't even turn on, it had the charging symbol on the screen when plugged in but the green circle wasn't going around to show it charging....
Ive eventually managed to get it on and working but it's very temperamental...
The battery icon always reads as 50% , when the phone goes into lock screen mode i sometimes can't get the screen back on unless I plug the charger in to get it to light up, also it keeps putting the camera app on.. u think it could be something to do with the side buttons. ...05-26-2024, 12:05 AM -
by JunkmanJimboSamsung UN55J6200AFXZA Splash Screen Comes up, goes out, screen flashes one time and then tv won't turn off.
No picture. No sound that I can tell. Backlights are on and have been checked. Flashlight test no image on screen. I replaced the Eprom chip hoping that was the problem but nothing changed.
Please help. Thanks in advance! -

I've got a Samsung LH82QENELGC/EN with a problem and need some advice and I hope this is the forum to use?
I'm from Norway so I'd like to apology in advance if my description of the fault is kind of simple or the names on the components are way off. 😊
the TV is powering up, working as normally and picture is all good, except a 1.5-inch-wide vertical line of snow/static across the screen.
This TV is a Signage Display/Public Display version and it's been used at my work for 4-5 years showing commercials 24/7. The fault occurred when... - Loading...
