    Sony KDL-32R410B Shows up logo , then blinking red light

    Okay ,so i got this TV , immediately assuming that there is a problem with power supply ... Tried another power brick with 19v and 20V (TV is rated at 19.5v) Still nothing. Replaced All 3 caps inside the TV. Under 1 cap i found some type of liquid ... It resembled water more than anything. I see no green on inside or anything like that , Might be a fresh spill of water but im not sure.
    Anyways i replaced all caps , tried different psu's and still nothing. Is it a software problem maybe?
    Also , the exact thing that happens when turned on is this>
    I press power button , backlight comes on , sony logo and then off . Stays on green light , sony logo then off . And the last time it just starts blinking red.

    Anybody know anything about these TV's?

      Im getting 6 blinks of red light , which in the manual it says it is a backlight issue? , backlight does come on , but after a second or 2 it shuts off. Could it be that one of the leds are gone and its trying to protect itself? It has 4 cables going to Backlight so i know its not connected in series. That could be my problem. but before i open the TV i wanna see what yall think.

          What voltages do you have on the led connector pins as you switch on and do they drop low.
          Do you have photo's?

              Voltage on Led connecter is 19.5v ... kinda hard to take a picture because im in the process of opening the TV to get to LEDs. you want the picture of the mainboard? Voltage drop is around 0.2v ... It probably has some sort of buck converter inside to step up the voltage.

                  fixed , one strip of leds was shot . i replaced the led with hot air from behind the PCB .. Worked well. We'll see how long its gonna last for ... All that heat stress on LED cant be good

                          Good job, make sure to turn down the backlights level to as low as possible on all inputs.

                              Hello...
                              my tv almost 2 years not powerd on and when i turned it on nothing happened and only 3 red light keeps blinking
                              i opened the back cover no sign of damage on the powery suply or motherboard
                              when i plug in the power i hear the reley sound like tik first and another tik..after that only red keep blinking..
                              another thing is even after i unplugged the power, The tv keeps red blinking 3 times for 2 almost 2 munites

                              I'm currently working on repairing a malfunctioning Sony TV model KD-65XE7005 with the mainboard 1-981-926-21. I would appreciate your assistance with this issue.

                              Upon powering on the TV, the Sony logo appears for approximately 3 seconds, after which the backlight remains lit, the screen remains black, and nothing else happens. The TV consumes around 55W initially and then drops to 35W. The indicator LED remains solid white. It doesn't respond to the remote control. When attempting to update the TV using a USB dongle, the dongle briefly flashes but nothing else happens.

                              I am currently on a troubleshoot of 46” Sony KDL-46BX450 tv. I came back from Washington to Texas on medical emergency and had to leave all my tools up there.                               My SONY TV (KDL-55W905A) started with '4 Blinking Red light' problem, my TV DO show picture for 3 Sec and turning screen off and start blinking - all factory reset technics did not help.

                              google it and found the problem can be the PSU.

                              my PSU model is 1-888-119-11 , APS-344 , APS-344(CH)



                              As I can see I have 2 option:
                              1. I OD HAVE multimeter but unfortunately not much knowledge how to use it (but DO have good soldering skills) maybe some can point me from his personal experience which part need to be replaced?

                              Good Day.

                              I just replaced tcon on my sony kdl 65xg9505 and getting green amber leds blinking. all voltages are ok according to working sequence.

                              i downloaded firmware from sony and there is no .pkg fike.. after extracting it gives another file which contains multiple files like inf, payload.bin and 3, 4 other files. i just did that usb but did not worked. anyone knows anything how to do it..?

                              green amber blinking stops after while and then starts again. tv responds to remote control on off etc. before installing new tcon backlite was coming on without backlite...
