They do get mixed everywhere except the leftmost part.

that resulting image is a "non-driven drivers" related to the tabs on the right side looking at the screen. Post a picture showing the tabs along the side.

The T-CON had already been messed with, this TV was taken to Philco's authorized repair shop before for diagnosis of the fault, those two transistors that were resoldered are the same ones listed on the electronica-pt repair hint.

This is what "Alancoteau" at electronica-pt described: T-Con fault, Insulate (cutoff) Pins 9~13 and exchange NPN transistor C5886A, also check A2097.

Nothing unusual with C5886A and A2097, I've taken them out of the board and measured each one, normal forward voltage, no leaking when polarized in reverse, maybe the other technician already replaced them, all the SMD resistors are good and no shorted capacitors or open fuses.

for future the test you did of slide show and showing mixing image related to T-CON, but now different story.. how it was before they took it to service center NO ONE KNOW... i wounder what kind of service do this instate put in place new t-con maybe one user over here working there..lol
              !!! so funny

BTW i saw more bad displaying picture on 4K sets with out name.. they look like the liquid of crystal washing away over the screen,,, and the reason was part of firmware which injected the t-con with most important part the refresh rate..

i advice you to spend on working t-con in case you didnt or any other missed with tabs

Alright I've just gone and ripped the 8 side tabs from the right, now it's back to life, cool. Full image is working without clouding or darkening anywhere, just some minor horizontal faint lines near the edge of the right side, guess that can't be helped, thank you all Badcaps members for guiding me through the solution.

glad it worked out. It certainly is better than scavaging the boards as this gives someone a watchable panel as opposed to a "garbage dump lobby". :-)

i would like to add my last comment on this threat hope some one read it if he face narrow issue to this set displayed..

you removed innocent part player on the panel ( the side driver )... but not the prime causer (T-CON).. for private who don't care do it but never expect joy with it.

It's kinda weird to say it's working but not post a photo, now it's more proper.
The TV and the eight side tabs that I peeled off by hand carefully.

If you're 2 meters or farther from the screen you can't see the horizontal lines, I've also not removed the tape cutoff, don't think it will change anything.

The T-CON may have cause the issue, I'm not an LCD expert, so I don't know anything about what happened to the panel, but only removing side tabs "fixed" it, also no info on any of those NOVATEK chips or service manual for this TV, so no way to service the T-CON.

The pictures will not be perfect but usable when one side of Gate drives are removed.
Big panel need to have Gate drives on both sides, if it is on only one side then you will have propagation delay for the drive signal to get all the way across the screen to the Gate on other side, so right now the left Gate drives are doing all the works and you see some minor effect.

                              Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

I found another post on this site the other day which has been very helpful in troubleshooting this issue I am having with my tv. The left half of the screen is dark, and the other half is VERY slow to generate it's image - and it only generates part of its image at that.
Based on this yt video, I have narrowed it down to an issue (short?) on the left side of the display, somewhere in the system of ribbon cables.
when I remove the bezel and the rear cover, I can get the image to display correctly by manipulating the ribbon cables on the left side which connects the left lower display...

                              by RetroComputingGrotto
I have a Quantum SuperLoader robotic tape library that uses an IBM LTO 7 tape drive which is constantly complaining that it needs cleaning. If you insert a cleaning tape, it performs the clean and resets the cleaning counter to 0 hours. It should only require cleaning every 50 or so working hours but after as little as just 1 hours use it requests cleaning. We've purchased a new cleaning tape along with new LTO backup tapes but that has not resolved the problem.

I have taken the library apart and can see no noticeable signs of dust inside. I have removed the tape drive from the...

I'm currently trying to diagnose and fix my Vizio TV (Model M50-C1). I've tried a number of different basic solutions, but I'm trying to determine if my issue is currently a failing panel, T-Con board, or main board (or something else entirely) and whether or not it is worth my time to fix it. Details of the issue and what I've tried are below as well as why I think it is either a bad panel, T-Con board, or main board.

The Issue: The TV will be on and working fine but after the TV is on for ~5-10 minutes the screen will freeze (with sound continuing) until the TV reboots itself. While...

Hi I just picked up a Samsung QN50Q6DTA. The issues was a 2 red flashes on the power button as the TV tried to turn on. Power supply OK. Backlight LED OK. If I remove the data cable from panel , sound is ON. I was able to identify the issue within one side of the panel. Used the tape fix and I placed the tape on 4 pins on one side of the flat cable. The TV ran great for 4 days and then the same problem appeared again...2 red flashes on the power button LED. Took the back panel off again and this time mode the tape on a different location and now the TV is running again. Am I missing something?...
