OK, I see, no boost without those components and I see that you are still working on finding the missing 15VWilling to help but I'm no expert.Comment

Re: Philips 47PFL4606 No Power Fuse Keeps Blowing
Right now he has only about 10V on C946 instead of 15V like the other 47" that I helped him fixed. The IC's need 12.5V startup Voltage for them to run.
He also has only about 10V on c946 of the 37" board for the 37" TV he is working on in the 37" thread and that is why he does not have PFC boosted Voltage on the 37" TV either..
If we can figure out why we are only getting only 10V and fix it then we can fix the 37" board at the same time.
What does not make sense is that 5V (4.6V in standby mode) is at 5V when 1K force on is present, so the 15V winding should also be 15V but it is not.
The other 47" board for the other TV (we do not have that TV any more) that I helped him fix shows 15V as it should but not these two boards.
The 37" board that he sent out for repair is also not fixed either. I wish I have the board in front of me instead of trying to do remote troubleshooting due to some time we get wrong data.
And now we just found out that there is solder bridge on pin 5-6 of the PFC IC, frustrating, I am glad I did not have him put the R947 back in yet..
Once we get he 15V back, he will have to check 12V/24V section real well too for any solder bridge before putting R947 back in place.Last edited by budm; 08-02-2020, 12:27 PM.Never stop learning

He mentions swapping T803 in one of the threads so I wonder if this is a link to the problem.Willing to help but I'm no expert.Comment

Re: Philips 47PFL4606 No Power Fuse Keeps Blowing
T803 is inverter transformer, it will not cause low Voltage at C946, beside, we remove the resistor that feed the switched VCC for the PFC IC and the 12V/24V SMPS IC.
BTW, so did you buy the 37" replacement board or you sent the board out for repair?Never stop learning

Re: Philips 47PFL4606 No Power Fuse Keeps Blowing
BTW, do you remember this thread of the other 47" that we fixed, you took the Voltage readings for me after the board was fixed?
Do you remember if the Voltage readings of Q907 was done using 1K resistor or it was done when the main board is connected?

Re: Philips 47PFL4606 No Power Fuse Keeps Blowing
So it jumps from 11.5V to 14.1V when 1K is connected which is correct because the standby also jumps from 4.6 to 5V, but the two bad boards are not jumping up to 14V.Last edited by budm; 08-07-2020, 03:27 AM.Never stop learning

by DannyxGood day folks......wow this new layout is weird. It's like I woke up one day and I'm no longer on Planet Earth or something
Anyway....got this here power brick from a USB to SATA adapter which keeps blowing the fuse after I almost repaired it. The reason I even bother to fix a power brick (wall wart, whatever) in the first place is because this thing was really convenient to use: I'd just plug it and that's it. It's a dual output supply, for both 12v and 5v, which although I COULD easily obtain with a DC-DC converter from a standard 12v adapter, I thought I should crack open the... -
by TipsLooking for some assistance please.
Trying to repair a PD27AOQ samsung power board.
Initially had the typical problem of cm806 capacitor blown, additionally thermistor NT801s blown.
Replaced the ceramic capacitor, str60252s, bridge rectifier, thermistor and fuse.
Testing it the fuse blows immediately power is turned on.
diodes dm852 and dm853 test as shorted when in the board but fine when removed.
any assistance, guidance would be appreciated. -
by RogerH58Hi all,
I am a newbie and not very experienced so bear with me if i struggle sometimes with technical language - but I'll do my best. I searched "Samsung" and the model number on the forum but didn't find anything I could understand!
I'm not an electronics guy - just picked up stuff over the years through my flight-simming hobby.
I have the above mentioned 46" tv as the monitor for my flight-sim setup. Recently it went "crack" and stopped working. No standdby light and no response. I assumed a fuse had blown and after investigation... -
by corrizeHello, I disassembled this dead camera, and found this WTF… Two fuses soldered one above the other !
I was pretty sure nobody touched it before, but that can't be from factory. There is flux, and capacitor is probably missing.
The other weird thing : the fuses are « G » fuse : (0.75A – 8V), seems very low. The original fuse should be « O » : (32V 2,5A).
There is « O » mark beside. All fuses have the same mark letter on main board. So, I can deduce it's a « O » fuse.
And this correspond to the issus I saw : when I plug the battery, I measure the voltage dropping... -
by simwalshHi,
I am new to this forum and have searched for some answers with problems similar to mine.
Philips TV powers on as normal for about a minute or less then click and no power at all not even standby light. If i disconnect from mains and reconnect it will power on again but for a shorter time. Once i leave it disconnected from main for a longer time it will power on for a longer period the next time.
It sounds like a power supply issue?
I have the board out and want to run some tests. Not sure what i should be doing but i put a 1k resistor across SB and +5v... - Loading...
