I need one of these..Can anyone help.?

    Hi guys.
I repaired a backlight set but one of the lens got scratched and as you guys would know they will never diffuse the light correctly and will present spots on the screen.
Im trying to avoid having to buy a whole strip just for one lens.
Does anyone in the UK have this type of lens.?
    thnx

The spots on the screen are caused by poor alignment of the lens in relation to the LED not by the lens being scratched.
It might help if you can give the model of the TV.

      Hi,
      Tx47as650b

I do know alignment issues will cause this,,but in this case glue got on the lens and turned it white.in places..No amount of alignment would fix it..It certainly in this case was because of the damage on the lens..

Have you got one yet. I'll have a look and see what I have so hold your horses!

Done that myself with glue getting on the lens, buggers it for sure.

Might be worth measuring the diameter for me to compare or a strip ref number.

I think yours is the smaller one on the left.

yh, sorry these are too big then and the only ones I have that are similar to yours.
the bigger ones are 22mm dia, 8.5mm high.

I've even looked on ebay and theres no pannies being sold cheap or parted out local to me otherwise I'd get it for the lens for you.

I don't have a problem posting a couple out to you if you want to see what they compare like fitted. Not sure how diff it would be diffusing the light.

Lefant M201 vacuum sensors alignment help
                          by macbook1967
I can't get my Lefant vacuum go straight after a battery replacement. It continues going in circles in open field or follows the wall constantly. What happened is I had to remove a circuit board to be able to replace a battery. After putting the circuit board back in place the sensor alignment went off, and I can't find the right position for sensors 1 and 2. Sensors 3 are not adjustable. Your help would be very appreciated....

                          Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

Hi all, looking for some input on this one. I've been reading the forums for quite some time but this is my first time posting for help.

                          LG 47LV5500-UA
                          10 years old
                          20,000+ hours on it.

Watching TV on it last week and right while I was watching the image suddenly started experiencing the symptoms in pics. Rainbow chromatic vertical lines and alignment issues. The issue is uniform across the entire panel. It does not come and go, the symptoms are stable.

Here is what I've tried so far:
                          - Factory reset and cycle of picture options....

Sony RCD-W3 Deck A (Playback only) not playing CDs (Disk Error) repair
                          by goodpsusearch
Recently I was given for free a Sony RCD-W3 with the following symptoms, CD recorder drive reads CDs without any issues (haven't tested recording function yet because I don't intend to burn CDs on that machine) but the reader drive shows disc error after some seconds of it trying to read CD. Tried both CD-Rs and commercial audio CDs with same results.

First thing to do was to clean the lens but that didn't change anything. Googling the issue revealed that this is a common issue on several Sony CD recorder machines and the culprit is SMD electrolytic caps located on the PCB bellow...

Good day and a belated happy New Year folks !
Wow....feels like forever since I've had a chat with all the wonderful folks we got here - guess you could say I grew up and can look after myself now
In all seriousness, I'm in need of some assistance choosing a microscope. I decided it's time I finally got one and I might as well put some of the money I earned caroling this year to good use

The reason I'm turning to our community for advice is because I'd like to hear some thoughts from people who actually own a microscope already or at least worked with them hands-on,...
