So in other words, I should just replace the entire main board, which I actually can do for about $75 it looks like after searching some more parts suppliers.

No way I can get a CPU reball for less than that around here. $125 just to walk in the door and shake hands in terms of labor in my area....

Okay update: since posting this I went and pulled the front plastic frame housing off the panel to get to the ribbons. They all appear in good shape with no dimpling or heat damage apparent anywhere. Running my fingernail over each one with pressure does not induce any flickering, worsening, or improvement in the vertical lines.

Hi all, looking for some input on this one. I've been reading the forums for quite some time but this is my first time posting for help.

20,000+ hours on it.

Watching TV on it last week and right while I was watching the image suddenly started experiencing the symptoms in pics. Rainbow chromatic vertical lines and alignment issues. The issue is uniform across the entire panel. It does not come and go, the symptoms are stable.

Here is what I've tried so far:
- Factory reset and cycle of picture options....
