    Vizio M501D-A2R

Having a convergence type issue.... when the screen jumps (tried to upload video, but issue has arisen.) there is blue and red image copies that outline the original image detail. Anyone seen anything like this? this is similar to what im experiencing on this set except its the entire screen, not any one section:

Side tab Gate drive issue on that section of the panel. You can try cleaning and reseating the cables between T-CON board and the panel first, if that does not fix it then you may need to try taped -off method on the ribbon cables..

hey, thanks budm. i also entertained the thought of it being a tab/cof issue as well. what gets me though is its the entire image across the display...not just a particular section. Is this still caused by one tab you think? also, it is not a constant issue....dont know if thats a difference or not, it pulses every 5 secs or so...fine, blue and red artifact image, fine, blue and red....yada yada

Panel has failed. I am working on the same tv now and has the same problem. Interestingly, I put the screen in a 50" LG tv (LN series) to double check the double imaging and the results were the same. Vizio Tv is selling for parts

                      Vizio E65-E1 strange image issue
                      by remmurdmd
Hi everyone. First new thread here. I picked up a TV on the side of the road. It appears to function correctly with the exception of an image issue I'm unable to describe. I've searched for “double picture” and “double image” all over the web and all I get is repair videos for when the picture is blurry and the connections are getting interference between the display panels and the t-con board. I believe this is a t-con board issue, but I haven't found anything telling me conclusively that this is where my issue is. I'd appreciate any assistance you can provide. I live a pretty busy life...

                      Vizio m601d-a3 backlight issue
                      by Mectronik
Hello, I'm working on a Vizio m601d-a3 with a backlight issue that I am having a difficulty diagnosing it. As it sits, the tv powers on, displays the Vizio symbol and with nothing hooked up it will then display no signal but you can only see half of the screen. I know it's a back light issue because the picture is there without light behind it, as I can see it by doing a light test. I've taken off the paneling and done a visual inspection. If I disconnect the tcon ribbon cable to the affected side then the entire half of the screen goes away. I've checked voltages at the LED driver from the main...

Strange LG TV issue : Image vertical lines in black screen
                      by Ancient1
                      Hi

                      Asking for a friend.

I'm used to black vertical line in otherwise good image - probable solution is a rubber to push and tighten the COFs bonding.
but here its the opposite !

TV has new T-con = same issue
A missing panel voltage would have global effect

So , what should one do ? how can I find where the fault is ?

                      Thanks !...

                      Vizio P759-G1, Tcon issue?
                      by EazyBone
Got this TV free. Guy said it tries to turn on and doesn't. I haven't seen this specific issue before but shown in video. Any way to test the screen to rule it out on these Vizio? Or anyone seen this issue before?

                      Any help appreciated

                      Interesting E60-E3 (Vizio) issue
                      by bscottjohnston
                      Good morning BadCappers,

I picked up a Vizio E60-E3 yesterday. The donator claimed that it never powered on and that he checked Voltages at the power supply. I checked a handful of Voltages and then laughed when I realized I was trying to turn it on via the menu button on the back of the TV when its upside down on my TV repair bed (literally my guest bedroom).

Okay so I took out the mainboard and decided to flux up the BGA and heat it up. Upon reinstall of the mainboard the TV does indeed power up but all of the screens have a blue hue AND the video displayed fails...
