Sony KDL-70R550A has yellow vertical line in it

I have a sony kdl-70r550a that has a yellow vertical line in it on the right side of the screen. I am trying to determine if this is the panel tabs or if the t-con. T-con usual is not the issue if there are vertical or horizontal lines correct?

Attached are some pictures. You can see the right side has a discolored vertical line.

Usually holds true for horizontal lines but I've seen times when even horizontal lines were fixed with a new tcon, did you try cleaning and reseating the ribbon cables from tcon to panel? and make sure the lvds cable from mainboard to tcon is clean and secure in place, never force a connection off, if it don't come off easy something is wrong with procedure.

      Kogan - KALED65XU9220STB - Blue Vertical Line
      by TrueSword88
      Hi all.

I have a Kogan 65' LCD Panel with a thin blue vertical line (top to bottom) on left hand side of panel.
The line just happens to coincide with the end of COF and start of the next COF (attached).

The line is permanent no matter what I've tried. I've tried pressure testing the panel (top to bottom) and all over, I didn't notice any difference with the line, either temporary or semi-permanent.

Also tried unplugging all flex cables, cleaned with isopropyl then re-inserting to no avail - line remains.

To fix laptop screen vertical line by working on its EDP cable
      by almarhum
Has one here really gone through fixing laptop screen vertical line(s) by repairing/replacing its Embedded DisplayPort (EDP) cable, so would recount and share the complete steps of the process here now?

As most, if not all, believe the laptop screen vertical line(s) caused by defective Embedded DisplayPort (EDP) cable which slipped and passed through either laptop screen hinge but post here is asking help to elaborate definitively the useful, real knowledge of repairing in the most complete, correct way, esp. can decide/determine whether the cable can still be fixed or must be re...

Samsung UE58TU7100K - no picture, vertical line
      by mrsith
      Hi.

Got UE58TU7100K with no picture - backlight comes on though. Figured out that's a perfect candidate for cut tape method.

This model has just one LVDS tape coming off main board - and two panel boards underneath the LCD screen are connected to each other via small tape. Like curved screens. I've tried to disconnect half of the screen (5he side without LVDS connector on it, obviously), no joy.

Disconnected the tape (main board side). Applied a small piece of tape, covering first ~4-5 pins. Powered the TV on - got picture. In negative, but that's...

Sony KDL-60R510A Vertical Red Line on Screen
      by fharris1977
Hello. I have a sony tv and it has a single vertical line going down the center of the screen almost. I seen a youtube video that suggests it may be the t-con board. Vertical lines usually means the panel is bad which I hope not. If anyone can assist me in repairing this set I'd really appreciate your knowledge....
