    Sony KDL-40V3000 - Vertical lines

    Hello,

    i order a t-con because i had bad colors on my SONY KDL-40V3000 :

With the new t-con the color are good but there are vertical lines on all the screen :

I've tried the old t-con and it returned to the initial issue (bad colors but no vertical lines)

Is there a way to fix the vertical lines on the new t-con ?

    Thank you for your help

Looks like you received a bad tcon, I would send it back for a replacement or refund and make sure the replacement is a match, probably need to match digits 2 thru 5 of the sticker on the tcon.

original tcon is very easy to repair, carry it to a repair center, it could be cheap..

          Hello,

For the old t-con, i suspect it is the gamma chip and yes it seems "easy" to replace.

For the t-con with colored vertical lines, do you have any idea concerning the source of this problem ?

Re: Sony KDL-40V3000 - Vertical lines

For your information, i've read that the color vertical lines can be an issue with the SDRAM. Because i don't have the tools to replaced it, i've ordered a new t-con :

                  https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/10050...yAdapt=glo2fra

I discussed with the vendor and he will send me a card with a closer reference.

                  i will keep you updated.

The most possibile explanation is that it was not compatible, i'm not sure about the codes, some photos of the board woulde be better

the easiest way to resolve this issue could be to swap or reprogram the 8pin eeprom bertween the boards you have, so put the one on the original one on to the vertical lines one.. or give the original board to a service shop for a cheap replacement of as-15f chip

                          I totally agree with that.
See the attached picture of the 8pin eeprom making sure you get pin 1 round the right way when mounting it. Small red dot denotes pin 1.
If you have a clip to read the eeprom then these as I recall will read correctly in circuit.
                          Good luck

Sony 8K XBR-75Z8H White Screen Vertical Bars Tcon Code. Help Needed🙏
                            by Daren87
                            Hello everyone,

I've recently been given a Sony 8k Z8H. It's got a white screen with two vertical black bars. At times it's given me the 5 blink Tcon code. Testing voltage on the Tcon I can see some low or missing voltage. I've done a basic visual check of cables and the COF. Not seeing anything obvious. The original Tcon seemed to have good caps until turning it over. On the bottom I found maybe 10 caps with both sides of the caps shorting to ground. I thought ok these caps and likely other components on the Tcon are shorted so let's try a replacement Tcon. I just received the...

                            Screen Display Vertical Multicolor Lines
                            by Stanley1843
Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

Sony XBR-85X950G Gray horizontal lines and vertical picture shift diagnosis?
                            by noisykid
5.5 year old 85 inch Sony Bravia X950G started showing gray horizontal lines across the bottom of the screen and the picture shifts slightly vertically when it happens. The lines sometimes get bigger/smaller vertically and bounce back. See the video for the problem. It seems to be happening after it warms up after an hour or so. Happens regardless of source. Right now there's nothing but power cable connected and it's happening. We did hook up a new Nintendo Switch to our HDMI switching receiver today, and played for a while with no issues, but this problem didn't occur til a few hours later while...

                            Sony XBR-65X900H vertical lines
                            by dustman1747
I have acquired a Sony XBR-65X900H to try and fix. It probably was a complete no power situation. The main board was replaced and the TV started turning on. I now have start sounds and backlights, but no image. I've replaced the t-con with no improvement. Cables all appear to be ok and seated properly. The TV took a firmware update and hard reset but neither helped.

Using the tape trick I can get both side to display combinations of colored vertical lines. There is no change in the stripes and the pattern always appears the same. If I add additional tape strips I can get the screen...

Three vertical lines without t-con board connected: Sony 55X8000F
                            by iampivot
I have a Sony 55x8000f that has three vertical lines (three different colors), with the lines still showing when the cable from t-con board to the panel is disconnected. Am wondering what might be causing this? Unfixable panel problem?
