Hi all i am battling with this issue and was doing voltage tests and came across a zener diode which has no voltage across it,it is 5v6B on the power supply,am wondering is somebody could help me in the right direction,i am still new at lcd tv repairs,i used to repair crt tv's,i will greatly appreciate any advice given

I just lift a leg and check out of circuit, you can just clip a leg if accessible and if it's ok just solder the leg back together. -

We need good clear pictures of the backside of the TV showing all the boards, and pictures of each board so we can see what we are dealing with.Never stop learning

Re: Sony KLV32U300A power on/off with 2 times blinking led
So what Voltage are you getting at the three connectors on the cold side of the power supply when TV is plugged in but not turned on and when power switch is activated?Hi all i am battling with this issue and was doing voltage tests and came across a zener diode which has no voltage across it,it is 5v6B on the power supply,am wondering is somebody could help me in the right direction,i am still new at lcd tv repairs,i used to repair crt tv's,i will greatly appreciate any advice given
As you can see the pins are labeled with name for each pin so you must put down the connector pin name and follow by the Voltage reading for each pin so we can easily see whit it has and does not have.
What is the designator of the Zener diode in question?
I attached the schematic of ADP-154AF power supply for the 32"Attached Filesif you find these attachements useful please consider making a small donation to the site

Re: Sony KLV32U300A power on/off with 2 times blinking led
That diode ZD131 is part of protection circuit that will shut down the power supply if it detects fault on +15, +24, and PWR_30 supply lines.
That Zener will not conduct until output of IC5 pin 7 goes high above 5.6V for the Zener to conduct which then will cause SCR151 to turn on and shutdown the power supply, you can look at the schematic to see how it works.
I did not error blinking codes in t he service manual.
Right now you need to make Voltage testing on the connectors I requested.Last edited by budm; 06-24-2020, 02:43 AM.Never stop learning

Re: Sony KLV32U300A power on/off with 2 times blinking led
So you are not providing all the pin names and Voltage readings to go with it. For example:On standby: C201 Pin 1+2=GND 3=0.12V 4=0.12V 5+6=GND 7+8=PWR PANEL 9+10=GND 11+12=0.8V 13=GND 14=0V
C202 Pin1=4.17V 2=0V 3=4,18V 4,5+6=GND 7+8=4.18V
C203=No Voltage
TV on: 201 Pin 1+2=GND 3=5.63 4=5.83 5+6=GND 7+8=5V 9+10=GND 11+12=14.60 13=GND 14=32V
CN202 Pin1=0.2V 2=0V 3=4.1V 4,5+6=GND 7+8=4.1V
CN203 Pin1to6=0V 7to10=24.4V
C201 @standby
Pin 1+2=GND
3=0.12V What is the pin name?
4=0.12V What is the pin name?
5+6=GND
7+8=PWR What is the Voltage reading?
9+10=GND
11+12=0.8V What are the pin names?
13=GND
14=0V What is the pin name?
So do it all over aging to show us what they all are.Never stop learning

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by PantherDaveHi all!
I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅
I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

by sam_sam_samI have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump
One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy... - Loading...
