According to the chart, you will report in this format (Notes that the connector CN6401 has Even pin column and Odd column pin. Even column pins you can probe from the top side of the board, the Even number pins you will have to probe from the bottom side or use skinny probe on the wire entrance side).
    When TV is Off:
Pin 1 NC = No connection
    Pin 2 DIGITAL_STBY = ??? V
    Pin 3 BL_ERR = ???? V
    Pin 4 ......

    When TV is turned on:
Pin 1 NC = No connection
    Pin 2 DIGITAL_STBY = ??? V
    Pin 3 BL_ERR = ???? V
    Pin 4 ......

        Board G6, connector CN7401:
        Pin 25 STBY3.3v = 3.4vdc
        Pin 27 AC_OFF_DET = 3.4vdc
Also I checked STBY FB (top left corner of board) 3.3vdc on D6201 Cathode (white mark on diode)
3.4vdc is present at the Cathode of D6201.

No other pins of any other power boards connectors showing voltage.
Will take pictures of the back of the power boards tomorrow.
Thank you all guys for participating it this repair thread!

The power supply will not show other voltages untill it sees the PS_ON signal from the main board. Check this pin and press the power button, does this voltage change? if not I suspect the fault is on the main board.

You are likely doing your measurements "too late". You need to monitor the voltage on a pin when you attempt to turn the set on as the system shuts things down pretty fast IF it detects a problem. Further, you didn't follow the "good advice" provided in post 21 that you had asked for.... :-( Following this advice will give that forum a better feeling that you measuring "work" is being done correctly.

Re: SONY XBR-65X850A Won't turn on

You can test the power supply by disconnecting the plug on CN6401 that goes to the main board. Then use a (about) a 1k resistor, and connect it between STBY3.3V and POWER_ON
(or between D6201 Cathode [white mark end] and JW6134 (next to cn6401)
This shouldl turn on the REG12V.

                          When I press power button
                          Pin 28 (POWER_ON) voltage doesn’t change, 0v
I didn’t have a 1kOhm resistor to kick on the power boards.
Pier12, this is nice repair manual, but not sure if it covers 100% of the model I have because I couldn’t find JL9129 or any JLs on the main board.
But, I ordered main board from tvpartstoday.
                          Hopefully, it’s gonna make it!
                          Fingers crossed..

The resistor does'nt need to be a 1k, usually between 470Ω to 2~3k should work. But since you don't have the POWER_ON signal from the main board, that is more likely the issue. If it was a fault on the power supply (and you have standby voltage to the main) you should see the POWER_ON go from 0 to 3 volts when you push the power button.

                                Finally, I have some progress.
First replacement main board didn't do anything, but they were nice and sent me another one.
Now, tv turns on and I can see the menu and navigate there.
However, it doesn't go online for any apps, or updates.
Status is showing connected, ip, and all that.
Both boards they sent me are used, I think.

                                    Hi everyone,

I have a vintage Sony GDM-FW900 crt monitor that I really enjoy using, but it has developed a problem and won't start up.

This unit was completely serviced a few years ago by Unkle Vito in Los Angeles and it fully passed all tests, was factory calibrated, etc. There was a faulty part (can't remember exactly which one) that was replaced at another repair shop about a year ago. Other than that, it's been working great.

I just say all that to say that this unit is probably in pretty good shape since it's been fully serviced and checked recently....

                                    Hello,
I am quite noob in advanced electronics, however I'm trying to fix a Sony Vaio PCG-71211M laptop mainly because I love old hardware. I don't want to send it to a technician because this computer is not important for me, I want to fix it as a hobby.
Shortly, this laptop does not display any video output when turned on, no POST, nothing. The keyboard leds are on and I can actually turn Num Locks on and off. Sometimes the laptop turns itself off straight away, sometimes, mostly after some attempts, the laptops enters a loop in which the cpu fan spins very aggressively and the CPU,...

I recently received an XR-77A80J that wouldn't turn on. (Repeating 5 flashes when plugged in.)

I did a hard reset by holding the power button for about 30 seconds until the set powered down. I then tried to turn it on and it powered up, bringing me to the setup screen. There's not a lot of detail on the setup screen but the picture didn't have any distortions, so at least a cursory examination suggests no physical damage to the screen. The set appeared to be working normally, but it shut down after about 15 seconds,...

I have a 2018 Sony kd 49XF8096 that suddenly stopped turning on: No LED lights up, and it doesn't respond to the power button or the remote control.
The power supply delivers 19.45vand I simply tried to check the fuses on the 2 boards (power and main) but everything seems ok. I have no references on where to test the voltage, but somewhere on the mainboard I also detect some, so you can't to understand which card may be to blame.
Can anyone give me some advice? I haven't found anything online

                                    Thanks so much!!!
