Long time looker first time posting. Little background info on the tv, was looking around Facebook and a free tv came up that didn't work, well I have fixed a few before without issue, picked up said tv and lady told me that the picture was a little fuzzy then it just went out one day now getting the 2-5 blink. So with all the info I have gathered here as got me to this point, on the t-con board there is 4 ribbons, if I unhook all of them I get the backlight, (looking at back of tv) if I unhook the two left ones I get 2-5 light, if I unhook right two (looking at back of tv) tv comes on with a picture on the right and a white screen on the left (looking at tv). So I processed to unhook far left and right ribbons (on edge of tv) unhook left side 2-5 light, unhook right side tv turns on but the picture is pretty bad and fades out as it goes to the left (looking at tv, side that's unhooked). Hopefully all that made some type of sense, so my question is what is my next step, is the t-con board junk or is this just a lost cause and the entire tv is junk? Any info is appreciated.

Re: Sharp LC-70LE757U dreaded 2-5 Blink
it "sounds like" the "standard bad tab" problem on the side of the panel.... but without some pictures of the display showing what you are seeing... it is just a "good guess". Read up on posts about tab issues on sharps to see what is involved... along with posting some pictures. NOTE. it is likely the set can be saved AND it is UNLIKELY that it is a tcon problem.Comment

by clooI recently got my hands on a 60" Panasonic P60ZT60 plasma tv (european model) that has some strange issues along with an 8 blink code.
It know this tv is getting old but it was once considered one of the best plasmas ever made, and i think it is still holds on to that even by todays standards.
So, long story short. When i first got the tv it had a very bright washed out picture with very raised blacks in all picture modes and i couldn't find the cause in the picture setting menus.
After doing a factory reset this problem was gone and the picture was back to...01-06-2025, 06:02 AM -
by EazyBoneI write this to maybe help another with this TV.
So I aquired this TV a 2023 model. It started the 2 blink reboot problem which indicates bad panel. It was still under warranty and the repair man came by.
The Samsung repairman brought a brand new panel and switched my original boards to the new panel. The new panel then had the 2 blink error code. The repair guy said he has seen this and the MAIN board on this model will cause the 2 blink. He then replaced the main/power board (they are both connected) and put it back onto my original panel. Voila it worked.

by MitikeHello guys,
I have SHARP LC-70UC30U which won't turn on and the stand by LED blinks the 1 LONG 1 SHORT error
According to other sharp SM-s it is lamp error (I can't find SM for this model)
And yes I checked other blink error threads on the forum about other Sharp models and still can't make it work.
If I unplug the set and hold the POWER and INPUT buttons while I'm plug it back the set fires up and shows sharp logo and after that the Android logo and turn itself off again and starts the blinking and wont turn on again except if I do the RESET procedure again.... -
by SdlewisSrI have a Sharp LC-80LE632U with a 2-5 blink code. I have narrowed it down to the T-Con/Panel. I get the error if both or either ribbon cable is connected between the T-Con and the Panel. If I disconnect both ribbon cables, I get no error and the TV powers up just fine.
Does anyone know if this is a definite bad Panel or is there a chance that the T-Con could still be at fault? -
by c00lmanhi, new member her and apologize if this has been discussed.. tried to search and most of the result are for LC-xxLe6xx series and not sure if it's applicable to the 745U.
the TV stopped turning on and after the V logo stayed solid for a minute or 2, it gives the 3 slow and 1 fast blinks which from what I researched are internal communication error.
did some voltage measurement on the power supply out.
Pin 1 and 2 = 0V --> PNL 12V
Pin 3 and 4 = 0 V --> GND
Pin 5 to 8 = 13V --> UR 13V
Pin 9 to 12 = 0 V --> GND
PIN 13... - Loading...
