Bad solder on the main processor under the large heat sink in the middle. It needs to be either reflowed (not a reliable, long lasting option) or reballed (much better option but way more difficult).

Couldnt get lines to go off, so removed bezel and metal frame from around LCD panel, ran a thin line of black insulation tape down each side, reassembled, now cant see lines and tape is barely visable.

            Sony OLED XBR-65A8G 4 flashes
            by Glaval
Hello, my Aunt recently gave me her broken Sony XBR-65A8G OLED after getting a replacement. It had a 4x led flash error, a replacement T-con didn't fix the error but with helpful info from this forum I found one of the smd ceramic caps on the panel pcb (C575/C378) on a 24v line was shorted to ground. I removed that cap and the tv turned on without error. It still had a black screen with the original t-con back in it, once I put the replacement t-con in it finally had a picture. After doing a panel refresh it had a very good picture but with a few vertical lines for some scenes. For owners with...

Samsung TV model UE50TU: rebooting, backlight, sound, but no picture
            by TR103
            Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
            - sound and backlight, but no picture
            - when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
            - it keeps rebooting
            - without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
            - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
            - when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

            - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered...

43UM7100PLB, no picture but have half picture when i disconnect 1 side of panel
            by sigmeyer
Like the title says , this is a very interesting problem , never experienced this before so i thought i'd share and maybe get some help on this. So the problem is as such: TV comes on , some gibberish flashes on screen and the screen remains black , the owner of tv said he heard sound. Now i checked some things cleaned all connections first of all so i dont run in a circle. Then i disconnected one of the cables for the panel , and viola, the left side of screen comes on, then i tried to switch it , with left side disconnected and right connected. Same problem persists. I checked some voltages...

Sony XBR-85X950G Gray horizontal lines and vertical picture shift diagnosis?
            by noisykid
5.5 year old 85 inch Sony Bravia X950G started showing gray horizontal lines across the bottom of the screen and the picture shifts slightly vertically when it happens. The lines sometimes get bigger/smaller vertically and bounce back. See the video for the problem. It seems to be happening after it warms up after an hour or so. Happens regardless of source. Right now there's nothing but power cable connected and it's happening. We did hook up a new Nintendo Switch to our HDMI switching receiver today, and played for a while with no issues, but this problem didn't occur til a few hours later while...

KDL-70R550A Peeled off LCD Tabs on left side and perfect picture for 5 minutes
            by Davidhames
            Hi Guys,

Thought I might try and seek advice on an issue I am having, I got this SONY tv for free that was having some dark greenish colouring, I replaced the T-CON and too my suprise the TV would not boot - I would get 5 blinking red LED lights. I dug deeper into this forum and someone mentioned the fact that it might be the tabs that connect to the LDC panel, and peeling them off should bring back a clear image. I tried this on the side of the T-con that was causing the tv to not boot when plugged in (left) and wow a perfect picture and was booting up fine! All was well and good...
