Hey folks, long time since posting last. Friend adopted an old Sammy destined for the bin.
Plugged in as found: red indicator light pulses 2 quick sets of 2 flashes, backlight flashes regularly.
With main disconnected from power: backlight flashes quicker.
With main and power connected, but backlight disconnected from power: "No signal" message on screen but no backlight (obviously).
Fearing bad LEDs, I pulled the bezel and screen to look at the LEDs. Several of them from all over are not lighting. Disconnecting one of the strips caused them to start strobing when plugged back in. If it was a single light, or a single strip, I would replace that and expect all to be well. But the sheer number of them has me worried it's perhaps something else with the power board, and I'm pretty rusty. Any alternative ideas, or should I have him order a set of LED strips and replace the whole lot?
Cheers,
Alex
