    LG 50LF6100 Glitchy Picture

This TV will have a glitchy, flickering, double picture. It does not effect the splash screen at all. The picture will flicker (doesn't appear to be backlights, I checked them all and they are all good) and eventually the entire screen will flash white and then black...the TV will stay on, but there will be no picture.

Unplugging each half of the TCON seems to produce a normal half-picture. Only when they are both plugged in does it have issues.

Any ideas on where I should start?

Can you post a picture of the "double picture" you mentioned?

Maybe "double picture" isn't the best way to describe it. I attached a closer up picture of what it is doing. The image that passes through the particular section will become 'stretched'. The picture will flicker and eventually the screen will quickly wash white (from one side to another) and then black...backlights all stay on, just no picture.

Again, this only happens with both sides of the TCON plugged in. Unplugging in will result on a perfectly fine half screen.

Try heating the capacitors on mainboard with a hairdryer, see if anything changes.

Can you post some good clear pictures of each board and one of the whole back and how they are connected?

No change with the hair dryer. Attached are pics of the entire back, each board, and of a test image on the TV.

Here is a Gif of what the display does in case that helps any.

Try reseating the two tcon ribbons and lvds cable going from mainboard to tcon, might as well clean them while you're in there, can use ISA alcohol or a pencil eraser, be careful they can be delicate, they are easily removed, looked for the clips that pop upwards with a finger tip, lvds cable usually just squeeze the ends, look closely at how things are connected. Never force anything, usually if you have to force something it isn't being done properly.

No luck with that, Attached are pictures with each half of the TCON unplugged.

(no idea why the attachment tool flips them, they're oriented correctly)

Just went to check. TV turned on fine, menu opened fine, but after about three minutes the picture went black. Backlights stay on, but no picture.

So right now you cannot even get the video back on any more back to original symptom?

If it sits turned off for a while, it will turn back on fine. After about 30 seconds though, black screen. Seems to have progressed quickly from the problem I had last night

T-con suspect issue. Both ribbon cables no picture. One ribbon cable ok. (58pus8545)

Hi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.

The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.

                          Original T-con:
Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.

                          First replacement T-con:

I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)...

                          by fixit007
I picked up this TV that the prior owner said - just died.

Tested the fuse - burnt. A dead capacitor is visible too on the hot side (CP801). Got the replacement power board (cheaply - used). Replaced the board - the TV turned ON!

Now, about a month later (yesterday) I noticed the left side of the screen was flickering from time to time. That was already happening with the antenna input, not through HDMI.

Also, some glitchiness with a Fire stick on HDMI3 - I hit an app with quick dark screen in stick, the TV goes - no input. Then I had to choose the stick...

SAMSUNG UN55KS9000F picture fades then distorts into vertical lines after 20 seconds
                          by JJAAMM
This was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.

                          Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode...

                          Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
                          - sound and backlight, but no picture
                          - when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
                          - it keeps rebooting
                          - without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
                          - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
                          - when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

                          - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered...

I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and
