Guess it's possible that the download may have gotten corrupted somehow, if trying a different flash drive don't work, I would start over and see what happens: https://www.sony.com/electronics/sup...loads/00016190

So, when I turned the tv back on today I had the flashing orange/green light.

TV delivered with out MB need to inspect the set deeply. PWB much like Okay. need to consider on this points.
1- the LED back light. need to check the voltage on LED socket and LED back light driver. post here photo with your measurement on sockets. also notice and report if the back light come on or not.
2- check the T-CON Fuse and read voltage on both side with it
3- go down to the Panel taps and disconnected the left side ribbon between T-CON and panel ( left side mean when you stand behind the set) or took out the metal shield which covered the panel Taps and on it there the last small flat ribbon Jumper disconnected it ( to block the feed back SOS signal of the panel in-case hat issue

if there issue with other hardware the MB will register it and block it to upgrade firmware and i think this is the case we do have here.. try it and report back with details and photos please.

I tried s different flash drive but I'm still getting the same flashing light. I'll try a different firmware tomorrow.
