    I gave it one last shot and spent about 4hrs troubleshooting and tapping pins. In the end I was not able to find the short so I had to recycle the TV.
    I am almost certain that the issue was with the panel and not the panel PCBs, but we will never know.
    Thanks to all of you that assisted.. on to the next one.

        Thanks for the feedback, reminds me of when I couldn't fix my damn fridge about 2 years ago...STILL pissed off about that.

            Today I've been defeated by these Harmon/Kardon pc speakers secondary speaker don't work, rewired it and it worked, put the pcb board back in the other speaker buttoned it up second speaker dead again, took the main speaker back apart but second speaker don't want to work like before, second speaker wire and rca cable and end are all good. Tested on tv, when I turn off the speakers with the on off/volume there is that slight turn off sound getting thru, thinking it's my rca output jack coming out of main speaker.

                I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

                I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and                ...

                Hello everyone,
                Ive got a UE60KU6079 on the workbench that is giving me some headaches trying to troubleshoot.
                The previous owner stated that there had been white dots on the screen which from the description sounded like some lenses fell of the backlight LEDs.
                He had opened the TV from the back, trying to get to the backlight, supposedly gave up, reassebled everything and gave the TV to me.
                I expected the worst like ripped COF cables or a cracked panel but could not find anything like that yet.
                Anyway I still fully expect that there has been something seriously damaged...

                Hello Everyone,

                This is my first post so I will try to be as precise as possible without making this post too long winded. Unfortunately I don't have pictures of the original problem but I included images of the TV internals.

                I have a Sharp 70LE660U. The problem started a few months ago with the bottom row looking out of sync and was dark on the left side and then fading to transparent on the right side. Shortly after, a dark cloud appeared in the center of the screen. The dark cloud started small and shaded but the image was visible. It also affected the menu area....

                Hi all

                I was just given a Samsung TV with the issue. I read various threads and videos and attempted the ribbon tape method to gain an image, but no luck.



                Symptom:
                No picture no sound.
                When I plug in the power cord, Backlight LED turns on for a half second and then turns off. The red LED next to the power button located center bottom flashes 2 or 3 times. When the power button is pressed after, it does the same thing.
                No sound at all.



                What I tried:
                1. I tried unplugging the left or right ribbon...

                Hello,

                I know some might say... just buy another one. Sell it as parts..!

                So had this AMP for quite some time. Recently I saw light smoke coming out of the AMP. Had my fire extinguisher close by. Just kidding. Turned immediately all devices off from mains.
                Let things cool a bit, and opened up the amp device. I clearly saw on the main board which hosts the 5X amp (5.1), 3 10 ohms 1W resistors had their leads looking black, while the rest of the remaining 2 x 10 ohms were brownish as being installed from factory.

                Spent some time downloading the Service...
