Re: Vizio M60-C3 left side of screen + a couple other areas dim
Yep, same here, opened it up after I repaired the PSU and a few strips were out, some where half out.
I ordered a full set from ebay and will report back the repair.
Could the cap issue have caused damage to the strips maybe through overvoltage ?...

Re: Vizio P65-F1 White Spots
I do have the capability to do that but the board is now long gone so I will just stick to not using the feature.. Still a good secondary TV...

Re: Vizio P65-F1 White Spots
Finally narrowed down the issue the Active Full Array feature under "more picture settings" . As long as I keep this OFF then does not matter which Picture setting I use.
Also found this article which is exactly my issue:

Re: Vizio P65-F1 White Spots
I think you guys are on the right track, I set the Picture Mode to Computer and now the backlight issue is gone. I will try later today to play with all the settings to see which in that mode caused the change..
I will also check the service menu to see if I can find anything related to panel.Last edited by TheTesterMan; 08-19-2021, 07:47 AM.

Vizio P65-F1 White Spots
Vizio 65" P65-F1
Original issue: No power, no picture, no sound
Fixed the issue by replacing bad Main board 715G9370-M02-B00-005T (typical Vizio reflow issue) with 715G9370-M02-B00-005K
I realize the boards are not completely the same, but I have seen repair videos in which many do use different boards like this, so I took a chance.
Replacement board fixed original issue but now I see ( not sure how to describe this ) white glows in certain parts of the screen which will move depending on what is shown on the screen. This issue is clearly more obvious with...

Re: Philips BA51RJF01021 Power Supply- How do I test it?
Pain in the butt, had to use a magnifying station at work to read the legend.
UTH 233, confirmed by colleague just to make sure. Searched and found nothing.
Replacement MAIN due in today, I will report back this weekend with findings/results....

Re: Philips BA51RJF01021 Power Supply- How do I test it?
I removed the component, cleaned the PCB and verified that there is no short. Still no CPU 1.1v.
I checked IC3606 and it looks like Pin1 is getting a 13V input voltage, I am not sure about the rest of the pinout but there are no shorts to ground that I can find. I cannot read the legend on the IC so I have no clue what the pinout is supposed to be.
I should be getting replacement board soon but would still like to troubleshoot this board for future reference....

Re: Philips BA51RJF01021 Power Supply- How do I test it?
At this point I have concluded with high confidence that the Power Supply Board is not at fault. I then concentrated my efforts on the Main Board measuring voltages and visually inspecting components.
All the voltages check out except for the SOC_CPU_1.1v rail which looks to be dead. Further visual inspection revealed a small blown cap ( I think ) on the PCB backside near the CPU_1.1v rail
I am not sure what is regulating the 1.1V but instead of continuing to troubleshoot/replacing components, I simply purchased...

Re: Philips BA51RJF01021 Power Supply- How do I test it?
I disconnected cable from PSU to Main and connected the 1k jumper. I hear a slight buzz but I do not see the LED strips light, should that happen with the 1k cheater jumper ?
I powered all the LED strips with external PSU and they are all good, no bad LEDS....

Re: UN55D6000 Blinking Standby Light
Same, the short ( if any ) appears when the Main is connected. For now I put the TV in storage while I work on others, I'll get back to it sometime in the near future. Thanks all for the help...

LG 55UK6090PUA White Dots/Spots
55UK6090PUA
Symptom: Many white Dots/Spots on screen
Repair: re-glue LED strip diffusers.
There are many videos on this but I thought I share my success story given that I am still upset about the last Samsung I have not been able to fix.
Fairly common issue with LGs where the LED Strip diffusers pop off and shows up on the screen as a spot. Easy to fix if you are willing to open up the TV which is really not that difficult. Once opened, all the diffusers ( even the ones that were intact ) were glued back on with industrial glue.
The TV...

Re: UN55D6000 Blinking Standby Light
Fully agree but have not been able to find anything that would pull down those voltages.. Nor can I explain how this is now not working only by switching the LED strip. Unfortunately I am a very impatient man and moving on to another TV. I'll post additional results after a few bottles of wine...
