Thanks again guys, it just torks me because I was very methodical, labeled everything, etc, took special care of the screen. Seemed to be a crack in the lower left hand corner, almost the size of a thumb so maybe a grabbed it here too hard? idk could I have not have it centered perfectly and tighten down the bezel inappropriately? Perhaps I will never know the real reason it cracked. Anyway, in hind site, like Budm said, maybe a dark spot or two better than no darks spots? Well....I tried my best and learned alot, maybe I should look at it as a 6 hour workshop...Comment

At least we know it does not have open LED circuit detection so the good LED's are still working and allow you to at least able to use the TV.Never stop learning

Oh I know about the crack screen, what I try to say that OP could use the TV with some LED's string not working and use it until other LED's failed to the point of unable to use the TV any more then open up the screen at that point since there is no other choice left.

???? The tv no longer works as in NO picture because of the crack. At best he could only get half the screen to display now because the other half with the crack won't display.Comment

In OP post #1 "The TV is working just fine" so if OP keeps using it the way it was and replace the LED's later om when it is not acceptable any more.Never stop learning

yes that would have been the wise thing to do BUT post 39 was the end result of a "first timer work on a very large panel".... and now the set is basically of no value / not working. :-(Comment

I have a Vizio M70-D3 4K with a dark spots backlight issue. It is using the Y8387248A backlight driver board.
On this model each of the 64 transistor powers 2 LEDs. Using my TKDMR TD3H backlight tester I've determined that the backlight LED strips were the issue, and the backlight driver board was just fine. Some LED pairs required 5.9 volt at 155mA, some required 9.5 volt and some were completely open.

Hello there i have a Sharp 80" LDC that has some dark spots in the middle of the screen, since its a 80 inch need another person so hang it on the wall or move it around, so i hope the collective wisdom can help me to determine what is wrong, I've been doing some research online and there is next to nothing about this TV, i tend to believe that the spots are due the back films/diffuser sheets, that are bit dirty, or perhaps one or two LEDs being burned, but what throws me off is that the dark spots are more noticeable when the image is bit dark like night scenes, and also noticeable when...06-13-2023, 12:02 PM -
Problem
Fixing a dimming zone TV with LEDs not lighting up. Dimming zone circuit introduces added variable to diagnose LED and/or Dimming Zone Driver board? Some 1/2 rows of LEDs appears to be out in active dimming zone off AND some brightness flickering with active dimming zone high while playing changing video

This is my first post so I will try to be as precise as possible without making this post too long winded. Unfortunately I don't have pictures of the original problem but I included images of the TV internals.
I have a Sharp 70LE660U. The problem started a few months ago with the bottom row looking out of sync and was dark on the left side and then fading to transparent on the right side. Shortly after, a dark cloud appeared in the center of the screen. The dark cloud started small and shaded but the image was visible. It also affected the menu area.... -
Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
