Hi, While im waiting for parts (led strips) from china for my L401333db i have got hold of another Toshiba TV (37rv635d). This one is working fine but needs a replacement on / off switch as the existing one has been botched to be on all the time because it was arcing internally. There are no end of these switches on ebay so im guessing they are a common fault but whoever botched it previously has also damaged the plastic parts of the switch so i have been looking for a whole assembly with the pcb and plastics. my question is are all these V28A000712A1 PCBs interchangeable? there seems to be 4 or 5 versions but from what i can see they are all identical and the same TV model seems to have various versions listed as suitable. Theres no components on the pcb as such just connectors and the switch so i cant really see what the difference could be but im sure some of you experts will have a better idea than me. Thanks guys.

second is same as my board seems do be R2 with damaged plastics on the end of the switch first is R4 with good plastics on the end of the switch.
in my tv it has had an extra piece stuck on the end of the switch actuator to compensate for the damaged switch on the pcb and whilst it does seem to have been done quite cleverly and it works if im changing the switch anyway id rather just change the whole assembly and have it all back to factory standard.Attached FilesLast edited by alerton; 01-10-2019, 03:36 AM.Comment

OK just an update, the R4 board i ordered arrived today and yes it is directly interchangeable with the R2 board. Fitted and working fine. Firmware also updated to the latest. I have to admit though, having seen the switch actuator (also replaced) i can see why the old one was damaged, it really is a pretty 'mickey mouse' arrangement; i would have thought Toshiba could have found a way to make everything line up better and work more 'positively' but i guess its down to cost and using the same components in alot of different models etc. Anyway.. its working fine and for a total cost of £38 i dont think its too bad, the picture is nice and has all the connections the lad could ever need.

Hope someone can give me some suggestions on this because i'm at my wits end with it...
I have an Envy 13-BA1565na here with an Intel Core i7 i7-1165G7 CPU (board is a LA-J475P Rev 1.0) which has an intermittent power button issue. The power button is integrated into the keyboard, and I have ruled out the keyboard, BIOS and battery as being the issue.
Basically, on mains power, the power button works fairly well. The first time you come to it after leving it sitting (either on charge or not on charge), it might take 2 or 3 presses of the button, but then the laptop boots...07-12-2024, 03:03 AM -
So I have a Repotec RP-G3224V that a friend recently gave me so I can try to sell it or reuse in other way (can always disassemble for parts, but that's the last option). He bought it used online in "as is" condition many years ago. I tested the connectivity between the ports and found some configured isolated groups (see port isolation map.png). I want to reset this configuration so all are connected together, however there is no reset button anywhere and the credentials for admin access over RS232 console are not "admin / admin" or "admin / 123...". Hello,
I've been working on a NEC TurboExpress and I accidentally got the plastic inside the power ON/OFF switch too hot while doing other repairs and melted it. At first, it would still power on when sliding the switch, but you had to really press inward while sliding to get it to work.
I removed the switch component and tried to gently melt the plastic back so it would work more reliably and all I managed to do was make it worse.
I need to find a replacement On/OFF switch for this, but having some trouble figuring out which kind of switch I need.... -

I want the switch to be open when the water is high, and closed when the water is low. Unfortunately it works the opposite. And since this switch is designed to be underwater, it's all sealed up, there is no taking it apart or hacking it up.
