    Megmeet MIP390HW power supply problem

    I have this Megmeet MIP390HW power supply which had some blown components after a mosfet shorted out. I have replaced the blown resistors R40, R41, R42, R26, R32 and the mosfet Q4. The main fuse T5A was also replaced.
    However I cannot seem to find a schematic for this power supply to identify U1 which I believe is blown as a result of the resistors vaporising together with the mosfet.
    I have attached a close up of a working psu together with the blown board before replacing components.
    I don't have any standby 5V which I suspect is down to U1. So any help with identifying the IC U1 or schematic for this Megmeet MIP390HW from a Technika 39C273 tv would be great.
    Thanks

    It nay be NCP1250.
    Looking at your board lay out, the connections of the IC's pins seem to match with NCP1250.
    1 = gnd
    4 = CS
    5 = VCC
    6 = Gate drive

    BTW, it also matches FAN6862-D, SG6858.

      Another one might be a OB2262, any numbers on the ic of the working power supply ?

        Great thanks for the input.
        I took the pictures of the working psu before the TV was sold. Thinking about it I could get the microscope out and examine the old one to see if I can get some numbers off it. It appears to have lacquer over it which might make it a little tricky to determine what it is. Any thoughts as to an easy removal of the lacquer without damaging the information on the ic?
        I will keep you updated on how it goes with pictures...

          Ok here are the pictures of the ic! It doesn't look to be any of the suspected ics as it is marked KvP amongst other things. Over pin 5 it looks like part of the ic has blown a small hole in it which is where R26 and R32 were open circuit.
          I am now trying to identify this ic picture attached.
          I removed the lacquer with white spirit, my finger nail, toothbrush and cleaned up with isopropanol.

          I didn't have any success with KvP but as soon as I searched for 37R came up trumps.
          Datasheet attached.
          Now off to order it

            Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
            by Tynan Dill
            I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

            Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

            I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

            The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

            With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

            Assuming...

            Samsung BN44-00262A H37F1-9SS power supply help finding blown value components!
            by cheeky2
            This Samsung combined power supply and inverter was replaced a while ago from a Samsung 37inch LE37B530P7W TV. However I would like to repair this one.
            I have replaced the Mosfets Q1820 and Q1821 ( FDPF7N50U) which were both blown and the fuse FM802S. The schematic for this power supply that is attached doesn't relate to this power supply as the driving transistors and diodes are D1830, D1831, D1832, D1833, Q1811 & Q1810 are nowhere on the schematic!
            Does anyone know what the components for D1830, D1831, D1832, D1833, Q1811 & Q1810 should be? I ask as I did change the Mosfets...

            Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply
            by sam_sam_sam
            I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

            One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...

            Rosewill Tokamak 1200w blown mosfet 5R199P
            by nubie
            Rosewill 1200w blown APFC? Mosfet.

            I got this with a blown fuse. Replaced fuse and the APFC mosfet blew.

            Removed the mosfet and got 5VSB, then when I connected PWON to ground the Fuse blew again.

            So do I need to replace the mosfet? Or should I be looking elsewhere? Thanks.

            According to a review of the 1500w unit there is an option for 4 transistors instead of 3 and they are different: https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews...su,4823-3.html

            Argon SA1 audio amplifier power-supply - fuse blown after fixing the short?
            by Babbar
            I found a project in the electronics trash yesterday. A nice Argon SA1 audio amp with some electrical issue. Took it apart and saw that the 4A250V fuse was blown so started lifting components to find the short. Eventually got to two MOSFETs (model FTA14N50C) that are shorted and when i took them out the short was gone.

            Now i didn't have any replacements of the same model of course but i found a couple with pretty similar spec i thought (K10A60D & K12A50D) and put them in. Also replaced the blown fuse with a 3.5A250V one. Checked another time for short circuit and plugged it in....
