Rosewill Tokamak 1200w blown mosfet 5R199P

Rosewill 1200w blown APFC? Mosfet.

I got this with a blown fuse. Replaced fuse and the APFC mosfet blew.

Removed the mosfet and got 5VSB, then when I connected PWON to ground the Fuse blew again.

So do I need to replace the mosfet? Or should I be looking elsewhere? Thanks.

According to a review of the 1500w unit there is an option for 4 transistors instead of 3 and they are different: https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews...su,4823-3.html

if the mosfet is the APFC circuit then i would desolder and check any other mosfets and diodes related to that circuit.
also pull and test the primary electrolytic(s) - APFC circuits can beat the hell out of them!

And the PWM plus the gate drive circuit also needs to be checked out. Since the mosfet shorted, it shorted full power to the gate drive and the output of the pwm.
