cant blame you ..not seen one like that ..or does cable simply pull out ?
latched ones i have seen the latch is straight across .
please wait for someone else to comment .
Slightly push the white part towards yourself and then you should be able to remove the cable.
It doesn't really seem to move in that direction.
I did manage to get the cable out by pushing down on the white part, but it still seemed to take a bit more tugging than i would have liked. It might be a case where you need a 3rd hand or shaped tool to push down on the white area while gently pulling on the LVDS cable. Not sure this was proper but it did seem to work. Always amazed at what engineers can manage to design.
Ah yes, I too was slightly embarrased when I was faced with one of those connectors at my new job at a service center which mostly fixes Sony, that was until my co-worker taught me: you push DOWN ("into" the board) onto the white U-shaped bit and pull the connector. Yes, it seems to take a bit more force than it ought to, but that's normal, as the cable seems to have some sort of reinforcing plastic foil on the end which keeps it rigid. Likewise, when you plug it back in, it clicks slightly to let you know you did it right and you don't need to do anything else. Cheers.
