Th-p50x50z, no picture, no screen glow, semi-fine SN board

    Hi,
I bought a TH-P50X50 Panasonic plasma TV which had sound but no picture and no error code and no screen glow. The SN board LED was lit green and was humming with no shorts and has the right voltages.
I thought it was a main board issue so I looked around and managed to pick up the same TV with a cracked screen for cheap, NZ$10.
I swapped out the main board, no difference.
Swapped out the PSS board, no difference.
The TV with the cracked screen had a SN board with a failed buffer IC due to the cracked screen, so i unsoldered it and installed it with the corresponding screen ribbon left unconnected.
TV fired up fine with a picture on the screen!

    So my thoughts are this:
    I read this post:
    https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...ght=c14&page=6
I figured it could be buffer IC16561 but with no screen glow thought possibly unlikely.
I figured it could be the IGBT Control chip IC16921?
I figure the picture data would be coming through but with an un-energized screen it couldn't be seen.
Service manual for it is below.
I have parts that can be transferred from one board to another but I'm not sure which parts and would rather not guess as they will be a pain to solder.

Here's a good picture of it:

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Did some comparing between the boards and there seems to be an anomaly between the readings of Q16820 between the two boards.
    I'll investigate further.

      Made some head way.
VAD on the working board with the missing buffer IC, the one that has a picture is 100V.
VAD on the working board that's intact but no picture is 35V.
      I'll do some more investigating.

I think I have figured out the issue but can't figure out why the problem exists.
The voltages between the two boards are the same when using TPVFG as the earth.
The problem is that there is a voltage difference between chassis earth and TPVFG.
Can someone read the service manual to point me in the right direction please?
        TIA

I'm not sure if the voltage difference is because the panel is energized on one and not the other.
The other thing I noticed was that pin 5, the drain pin of IC16784 (MIP3910), has a fluctuating voltage on the working board of between 180 and 190V and the other board has a steady voltage of about 188V.

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Hey guys I've got a MSI GS66 Stealth 11ue-007us Board Number MS-16V41 VER.1 with a broken screen connector on the motherboard.I was wondering how I would go about finding a exact replacement for it.I can't seem to find any schematics that would help me so I'm kinda stumped.I did buy a screen connector that I thought was close enough but it doesn't really invoke much confidence in me that it works perfectly as plugging the screen into sometimes does output a "glitchy" image for just a few seconds. So now I'm kinda in a cross road where I'm pretty sure it could be a faulty screen but I...

            Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

Samsung UN65js8500F, no sound, blank screen and T-Con board with one LED on
            by mrtek
Hi I am new to this kind of repairs but I want to learn..I have a Samsung UN65JS8500F. the TV used to work and I tried to fix darker areas in the middle only ( img 1,2,3). I thought the led strip were bad..not the case. I did not research in advance what kind and where the LED were located. In this model they are located vertically on right and left side. Took the TV apart and put it back together. Now the tv shows no welcome screen and no sound is available thru the speakers. ..just a black screen..Backlight LED do turn on...also noticed a 5 blink code , not sure if that was there before. I can...

My Oled Tv is 55inch tv, 3 days ago I notice that middle of the screen is getting warmer and on picture I have ghosting, missing red color. Color red was still displaying, but it was not so strong as corners of the screen and watching some movies makes me angry.
Then I get an idea to take it apart and clean boards from dust.
In side of Tv was not so bad, I take compressed air in can, and gently blow up.

Also I was thinking to styrofoam sponge to isolate power board from screen that the middle of the screen will not worm so much. Because Led on screen when gets higher...
