Hello all.
My Panasonic Plasma is on its 2nd 7 blinks error. I fixed it the first time using a repair kit for ShopJimmy. Well its back 1.5 years later. Was SC board so bought a used SC board off ebay. Replaced and got same 7 blinks. The green LED on the SC board never lit up. Unhooked SC from buffer boards SD and SU and removed grounding screws connecting SC to bufferboards and shorted SC50 and still 7 blinks. So now I am assuming the SC board I was sent was bad. To see if the TV would just stay on I unhooked the power and ribbon cable from the SC board and turned it on. I get 8 blinks. From my research I see most 8 blink errors mean the SS board is shorted. Is this true?
I also used a multimeter set to check continuity and checked the ribbon connections on the buffer boards SD and SU. No beeps and was getting a reading of .800 and lower. From research again this tells me the buffer boards are okay. Is this also correct?
I have a 42" Panasonic TC-P42ST30 in the basement we don't use much. Does anyone know off hand if I could "borrow" parts off that to see if I can't figure out the issue. I can open up the back and check if need be but just wanted to save some time.
Thanks for the help!
