Help identifying a surface mount fuse

I'm working on a LG oled with a bad main board. I found a blown surface mount fuse marked F61. Anybody know the specs of that fuse? here's a pic. It's at VA6701...thanks

Re: Help identifying a surface mount fuse

    1) What is the TV model and the main board model? It does not look like fuse.
    2) What Voltage do you have at both ends with ref to circuit GND?
    3) Is one end connected to circuit GND?

It's a LG model OLED65B6P-U version BUSZLJR. If it's a fuse it's blown but I'm confused with the VA6701 marking.

It is for protection of that Tuner module in case the surge comes though the RF cable.
So what is the TV not doing?

Re: Help identifying a surface mount fuse

Looks like a gas discharge SMD device for surge arresting.

Not sure how well a little SMD like that is going to do, but nice to see that they've at least tried to add some protection on these vulnerable inputs.

Thing to watch out for these OLED TVs is they have a lockout. If there's panel damage or a short, after five attempts to power up, they'll lock out and something needs to be reset to try again. Freakaftr8 may be able to advise here as he has done quite a bit of hacking with these.

Thanks for the help gang....took a lightning surge and if that's all that is wrong with it today is my lucky day.

Re: Help identifying a surface mount fuse

Tom, I'm getting good voltages to the main and can hear the relay clicking on the power supply but no video or audio, or optical. I'll have to pull the board and look at the traces on the back and see what this does and if anything else is short. The lockout sucks so I might just order another Main and keep life simple since I am not a authorized LG service center. $230USD a pop....At least it was fairly easy to get the back off this model. Most of the other LG Oled's were a bear to get the back cover off. Push here, clip there, cuss here and it finally comes off. Panels are so thin I can't wait to get them out of my shop. After watching golf on it for 3 or 4 hours.

Re: Help identifying a surface mount fuse

Good news. I got this varistor in and it turned on fine. I did get a message I've never seen that said to hit the ADJ so have a LG Factory SVC Remocon remote handy. Hit the ADJ and the Tv will turn off. Then hit the power button and the Tv fires up. The remote stayed paired so I didn't lose any customer settings. Thanks R J for helping me identify it and it does act as a protection from a lightning surge through the coax and this time only took out that varistor so my customer dodged a bullet as the main boards are very expensive and had a factory back order of two weeks. That was the last thing I wanted to tell my customer right before football season starts. I almost told him the part wouldn't come in until after the first game so I could watch the game on this fantastic picture. Underwater diving scenes and the 4k Youtube video's of Costa Rico wildlife video's are very nice. Gotta get me one of these.
