Tsk tsk tsk... no, i have told you, if the lines are single subpixel large, the defect is not on the glue.. it is on the chip on flat soldering, so you must press it not the glue.Comment

Well, I will be the first to admit that I screwed up...
In attempting to replace the backlight in a UN65TU8000, I made a hole through one of the ribbon cables between the board that runs along the bottom of the back of the TV and the panel. This lead to a between a 1/4 to 1/2 inch vertical stripe running the full height of the image.
I don't have the experience; personally, to solder a bridging wire for the paths that were cut. So, I have been on the hunt for other Samsung TV's of similar size.

I have a Sony KD-65A1 TV with a fault – 4 red LED blinks. After disassembly and visual inspection, I found that the G76 power board and DKA board had been replaced. It is also possible that TCON was replaced, but I am not sure – there are a few marker marks that could be factory-made.

Hello.
I have a Samsung eu58tu6928k with the dreaded bootloop fault.
No external tcon, one 96 pins ribbon between mainboard and the left side of the panel, and a ribbon to the right side.
I narrowed the problem down to the CK03 line. When i isolate only this line on the ribbon joining the 2 halves of the panel, the tv boots, but the picture is quite bad. I also tested all MLCC caps on the panel, no short so far. Is there anything i can try before ruling the panel, and the whole tv as scrap?...11-05-2025, 04:55 AM -
so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!!
what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!

49UJ6500 LCD panel has a lighter band on top when first powered on. Goes away (or gets much fainter) after TV on for a few min. After powered off for awhile and power back on, same band appears. If powered on immediately after powering off, no or much fainter band. Running the latest firmware.
Disassembled the TV and lifted the LCD panel during testing. Band is on the LCD panel (can see the band on the panel as I lift it slightly) Backlight is perfectly even at the top edge. Double checked LCD panel alignment in the frame and is perfect but since band moved with the panel, its on...
