    Samsung eu58tu6928k - Short on CK3 line -

    Hello.
I have a Samsung eu58tu6928k with the dreaded bootloop fault.
No external tcon, one 96 pins ribbon between mainboard and the left side of the panel, and a ribbon to the right side.

I narrowed the problem down to the CK03 line. When i isolate only this line on the ribbon joining the 2 halves of the panel, the tv boots, but the picture is quite bad. I also tested all MLCC caps on the panel, no short so far. Is there anything i can try before ruling the panel, and the whole tv as scrap?

Samsung UN65TU8000 - Panel Issue [ hole in ribbon cable ]
    by NWArkGuy
Well, I will be the first to admit that I screwed up...

In attempting to replace the backlight in a UN65TU8000, I made a hole through one of the ribbon cables between the board that runs along the bottom of the back of the TV and the panel. This lead to a between a 1/4 to 1/2 inch vertical stripe running the full height of the image.

I don't have the experience; personally, to solder a bridging wire for the paths that were cut. So, I have been on the hunt for other Samsung TV's of similar size.

I have 2 that I have found and have in my possession. ...

SAMSUNG UN50TU8000F rebooting, backlight ok. No 12v to panel boards.
    by triplefour
TV flashes backlight then reboots over and over. no image. Client said it used to have image for a bit before rebooting. Got worse over time.

    tcon is built into mainboard.
Only one cable goes to panel boards.
there is a cable from one panel board to the other that links them.
cost cutting measure that results in us having harder time to diagnose.
removing the link to the second panel board allows TV to stay on with stable backlight but no image.
used cut off tape method to mask 1 maybe 2 pins on the side of the cable that goes to that second panel board....

Sony KD-65A1 Repair – 4 Red Blinks Error
    by AK_777
    Hi everyone!
I have a Sony KD-65A1 TV with a fault – 4 red LED blinks. After disassembly and visual inspection, I found that the G76 power board and DKA board had been replaced. It is also possible that TCON was replaced, but I am not sure – there are a few marker marks that could be factory-made.

Based on assumptions, the previous service attempted to solve the issue by replacing potentially faulty components. I decided to investigate further, found a service manual, and figured out a way to power up the power supply unit autonomously and put the OLED panel and...

Samsung's AU series "high quality" panel internally melting
    by Biruslapio
I got this 55 inch AU7X00 TV, it was rebooting and showed no image only a blink of the backlights.

I assumed it was either panel or motherboard. Turns out it was the panel, and after applying some tape on the ribbon cable that goes to the left side of the screen, the TV turned on with image, then I suddenly noticed a dark spot and the pixels were turning black on the left edge, I was sad and thought I smashed the screen somewhere, found nothing visually, it looked in perfect condition and if it was there before it would've been noticeable while I was inspecting the TV the first time....
