    Philips 55PFL7008K lines on screen

    Hi,

I have Philips 55 LED TV ( 55PFL8007K/12 ) and few days ago it started with some problems.

First, when I turn it on first few minutes picture is slow ( audio is ok but picture hangs ).
Also, on right side there are tiny lines which are showing at moments ( not constantly ) and edges flashing .
When picture get back to normally , flashing on the edges stops, but sometimes ( every few seconds, depends if picture is static or it is some motion ) lines only on right side shows .

Is it maybe T-Con module, main board or something else ?

EDIT: Wrong model in title, if admins can change it to 8007K

Sounds like a T-CON Bd problem. Could we get clear, focused close up shots of your T-CON Bd?

        Situation update:

Today, after 3+ hours after I powered on TV and let it work , all lines gone.
But, when I turn it on in the morning it not shown any picture first half minute and then just slow image motion.

Maybe heating up board will help ?

Clean and reseat all cables to and from the T-CON Bd. I could not connect on the link to view the picture. The Level Shifter IC and associated components would be the components of interest as the lines would be generated from here.

Already reseated all cables from board and T-con (and cables from panel to T-con ) but that did not solve the problem.

Picture of Tcon and all data from CSM second page are in attachment.

this is yours TV chassis service manual. read page 21 to inter SAM and reset operation hours and make factory reset with same SAM. you can also Panel operation hours reset to 0, don't change any other value.

Ok, I will try that later. I have already read that service manual, but how to reset operation hours ?

TV is now working without issue for about 7h ( 3h after power on all issues disappeared ).

operation hours defined wit Panel operation hours.

did you made Virgin reset within SAM ? next if you had under yours hand service manual or any other tools need to tell us here that you had at your first post with photos or video to describe the issue .. i am out from this threat.

I described the issue in first post.

Photos are in attachment - First two are from yesterday when I power on TV , last two are from few days before ( only lines are visible )

I have a video, but dont know where to upload it so you can see it.

Problem is that that today TV is working fine after 3 hours of being powered on.
Maybe there is need to heat some parts ?

Hello, did you get It sorted? Im having the same issue, and blocked the clocking signals responsible for driving the right (affected part of the display where lines are) but the result was just no image in the right(left part also slightly trembling picture). Looks like its COG panel version, as the only clock signals coming out towards right bottom corner of the LCD are CPV 1-4 STV 1, 2 and obviously Von and Voff. Thanks.

                              Screen Display Vertical Multicolor Lines

Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

Samsung UN60EH6000F Black Screen, Backlight and Sound Good. Power Cycle Returns Picture

I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and
                              ...

This was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.

                              Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode...

Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

                              Hello again everyone,

This is my latest mission, to try getting this Sony tv back to normal working order…

I've only just got it today, when you power it up everything is as should be, in fact it works perfectly for a few minutes then the screen starts getting horizontal lines on & eventually the full screen goes back, I will upload photos of the problem & also some photos of the board etc. You might notice that I'm busy trying the tape method, I'm not sure exactly where the clock lines are so I'm just guessing & hoping for the best lol . I've already tried...
