Hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone has encountered this problem and found a fix for it. Please help. The TV works as it should except for the constant flickering/strobing/flashing of the picture. Model number PN64E8000. I read that the power supply on these models usually fail, but since I have a picture and the tv responds to the remote, does this mean I have to look elsewhere?

The power supply does often fail due to cracked solder joints, however an easier step would be to perform a software/firmware update first by connection the TV to the internet either via wifi or ethernet cable. Additionally performing a factory reset could also help.
If it does not take care of your issue, you can try to reflow the power supply. If that does not take care of it however, you could be looking at more issues which would involve more troubleshooting.

Thanks for your reply. I thought I'm not going to get any response, hence my delayed communication. Anyway--back to the TV. I had someone do the repair for me, and now the tv is working properly. Thanks again.Comment
