ACER BM320 Monitor - Horizonal Flickering Lines After a While

    Hello,

The monitor started off showing flickering thin (1 pixel) lines horizontally every say 3mm..

They are black on the right and gradually fade to nothing on the far left.
They start either after 5 mins or up to 2 hours after so annoying for testing.
They flicker continuously very fast! With a slight pause milli-second every second.

Initially I cleaned the LVDS cable and connected to the T-Con and then it worked fine for 3 weeks but not sure if this was just co-incidence.

I tested each half by removing the first the left flex from T-Con to panel and then the right:

Removing right and then turning on results in left working.
Removing left and turning on results in barely seeable picture on right.

I removed the left while it was on and flickering which resulted in the right staying on and the flickering dis-appearing.

Then I powered off and re-connected the left but now the left is slightly higher brightness (or the right is slightly lower brightness),
    The flickering still comes..

Has something been damaged when I removed the left while on?

Does this look like a T-Con or Panel fault?

I tried cooling the caps on the PSU, the entire Video board and T-Con board with freeze spray after the flickering started to see if heat related but no difference..

There are 2 boards that are part of the panel along the top hidden under plastic.. I will up load photos later.

The lines come no matter if a video input is on..

    Many thanks.

Update - After being on over half an hour again the brightness difference has fixed itself! Any ideas why it happened and then fixed itself? Cheers

Dell U3419W horizontal lines and flickering
        by Guybrush
After watching too many electronics repair videos (but not monitors) I came across a dell monitor with flickering horizontal lines. I haven't purchased it yet so don't have much info, but from the video and pic do you think there is a chance of repair or is just simple panel damage?

Seller claims; "but due to sun damage has some grey lines going through it"

TCL 55S425 few horizontal lines, potential failure on both side of panel/buffer board
        by howardc64
All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
        • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
        • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

Samsung UE70TU7100 - flickering horizontal lines
        by mrsith
        Hello again good souls.

Got an UE70TU7100. The TV starts up just fine, but right hand side of the screen is horizontal striped a bit, and there are some flickering horizontal lines on the whole length of the screen. I've seen similar static horizontal lines sometimes, when applying the cut tape method and covering wrong number of pins.

I've cleaned every connector with ipa, tried cut tape method on main LVDS ribbon as well as small ribbons, connecting the panel boards at the bottom. Tried squeezing the bezel and playing around COFs, but no reaction at all. COFs and...

Samsung QN75Q6FNA backlight no display, red LED blink 2x, fault in panel
        by howardc64
        • Prior owner tried a replacement main board. No difference.
        • Samsung 2x red blinking standby LED = panel fault
        • Jumpered FB_TRDY_1 (pin 1 CN1300 left. main tcon->left side buffer boards) and FB_TRDY_3 (pin 95 CN1301 right. main tcon->right side buffer boards) This allows testing individual T-Con (on main board) connection to panel on this Samsung. Found fault on left side (viewing from rear of TV)
        • Each side has 2 buffer boards, disconnected left side flex between 2 buffer boards. Fault is on the left most board.
        • Tape masking eventually isolated to CN1300 pin 15 (CKV4_GOA) Display

        Screen Display Vertical Multicolor Lines
        by Stanley1843
Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...
