That is the look you get when both tabs on both sides of the panel had failed. Hopefully fussing with the right side did not short the left side even though you removed the right side hopefully it's not too late. Will see what you get when you get another T con..

Thanx again for all the help, everyone...

Well, the part came in late yesterday.. Didn't have time to do more than to throw it on and power up the TV..

All I got was a backlight.. Nothing on the display..

Is there a way to use a voltmeter to check the TCON to make sure I didn't get a TCON that was already blown??

            Thanx, NoMore...

Yea, it looks like this TCON board has a blown component.. No voltages on any of the points..

Is there a way to test the viability of the component itself off of the TCON board?? As I mentioned, I have several of these boards. If I can confirm a quality component then that might help me fix a TCON...

I think in that video it shows think its a voltage regulator hes testing, says a bad panel takes that one regulator out quite often.

No need to check this transistor off the tcon board if it is bad it will read that either way on or off the board. Transistor operates the supply voltage to the PWM. Without it, there is no dividing of the voltages for the panel to. Function.

                This is what you need.

QF which is a RTR020N05 2a 45v n channel SOT-23 style mosfet and it goes here. See pic attached

Yea.. Last time I had this almost exact problem with this exact model, it turned out to be LVDS cables..

I might try to replace these, just fer sheets and greens..

But i am getting a bad feeling about this...

Yeah I have a bad feeling too you might have screwed the pooch on fussing with the cables instead of just removing them as it could have shorted the left drivers as well unfortunately. The pics you provided earlier shows what a panel looks like when both driver ribbons have failed on both sides. There is no horizontal driving of the vertical sourcing so the panel doesn't know what to deal with the information that is being addressed vertically

you did recheck the bottom corner cables... the one on the "right" which should have been removed because you pulled the edge boards on that side.... and the one other the other side which you may have played with but not reseated properly.

                              Hi guys

I just started fixing 4k TV few months ago. so I am still learning a lot
I got this tv from friend complaint is ghosting or horizontal lines on image.

never saw the original symptom but I took the tv back home. the funny part is that after bringing to home, the tv worked fine no issue for 3 weeks.
then it started to show the ghosting white image.
I started using the tape method, but this tv does not have a T con board and it has only 1 ribbon cable from main board to the tv panel.
it has 3 thin small boards at the bottom of the...

                              Hi to all,

I was given this TV, an entry-level 4K 50" set. Some have criticized its lack of contrast and relatively poor colour rendering, but for my needs, it's very decent.

I reset everything to factory settings, but this line keeps on fading in and out when watching a streaming channel from the Tizen firmware. Interestingly, it only happens when TV is warm, after about 1h45 of it being turned on.

Watching a movie from an external source doesn't trigger the line as easily (needs 2 hours), and from a normal viewing distance, is hardly noticeable. It...

                              Hi forum friends,

A friend bought this working AOC lcd monitor and used it without problem for less than 6 months. Yesterday he brought to me and said it has a horizontal line now and will auto shut off in less than 2 minutes. Btw he had decided to dump it if not repairable. As a friend, i tried my best to help and after opening the case i don' t see anything burned or parts having cold solder joint.

Fyi, most of the electrolytic caps are tested within 5% range on esr reading except that i changed cap at c918(680uf reads 654.3uf) to a 1000uf cap. Also i added a 680uf...
