Sharp LC-70LE660U, single blink error code

The backlight DOES NOT flash momentarily in my unit like the following threads mention, but here they are linked for the photos:

When I plug the TV in, the power led comes on solid and stay solid for about 10 seconds and then goes out. After, another 5-10 seconds it starts to slowly blink 1 time every second.

I will post the service manual for any who want to peruse it.

The service manual states that it is a "Lamp error", but I tested the 3 LED arrays with my LED tester and all three read 95.6 volts exactly, so I doubt that is the problem. I also tried disconnecting the panel ribbon one at a time and I DO NOT get half a picture, nor does the blink code go away.

I would like to try forcing the unit on and clearing the error, but the service manual doesn't seem to say how to do that.

    Help would be greatly appreciated.

Read post no. 50. Key code combination to bypass lamp error.
Did I leave the soldering iron on?

Thank you, Freak, I read the below post from that thread, but when I do that, I still don't get a picture and sometimes it seems like my white LED will stay solid and never flash and I can turn the TV on off (make the LED go on /off), but I never see any backlight flash or image.

"okay guys it's working now I don't know how or why but as soon as I did a series of tests I tried another key combination back on the keyboard this time I used volume up and channel down well plugging in the TV at the same time and long and behold beautiful picture came up. Obviously volume up and channel down reset the main board to factory specs. I didn't look to see how many error counts are in there but it works!

now here's the kicker as soon as you unplug to TV plug it back in it's back to the one fast flash one slow flash lamp error. But if you do the vol up channel down its back in action and powers up and off with no problem.

I did notice OFL pin is 3.3v constantly now when on."

Turned out this one was a bad panel, not bad LEDs. Swapped the main board (because the error could not be cleared for some reason) and still no picture, but error code gone. Then unplugging half the panel made the other half of the screen work, but had tons of vertical lines in it. Hope this helps someone else.

not so fast.... depending on what is happening, the panel may still be saveable.... got a picture of the "half unplugged display"..... sometimes side issues impact the vertical.... hence the question/request.

Could still be a bad t-con right? how did you conclude bad panel?

99% of the time when one side is disconnected and the other side suddenly works after a no picture event, its usually a shorted panel. Albeit a shorted MLCC capacitor on a source driver board or a shorted out side gate driver. In your case it may be a shorted MLCC If they were all vertical lines on one side, decent picture on the opposite.

the better test is to disconnect the corner ribbon cable (one at each lower corner interconnecting the bottom edge boards to the side edge boards). This "test" takes out any possible "corruption" of the bottom edge boards by "compromised" side tabs... which might sometimes cause vertical issues as well as horizontal issues. It isn't a given but as freakaftr8 suggests, that there might also be "fixable" capacitors on the lower edge boards that may be an issue.

I have the same tv. If I unplug the ribbon cable on left side looking from the rear of the TV I get back lights the whole screen. If I unplug the right side I get nothing. No power to main bd and no backlights,
