The TV doe snot tun on even though there is standby voltage. With no PS_voltage applied, the DC voltage across the two main caps reads over 800VDC (405 is normal I think with PS_ON and about 130 without the PS_On). The voltage slowly drops away to zero if you leave the DIM connected. Any idea where to start looking? Thanks for any leads.

And what did you use for GND ref. for the meter.
Please also upload good clear pictures of the whole backside of the TV showing all the boards, and then the pictures of the TOP and BOTTOM side of the power supply board.Last edited by budm; 02-28-2018, 03:00 PM.Never stop learning

Re: Sharp LC-LE830u PS problem
Read my old post on this. May have to do the keypad combination. It's on page 3 post 50.

By the way I never did successfully repair the problem. I ended up selling that T V-2 years ago with the new owner knowing how to start it if it gets unplugged.
On post number 50 I did not mention that you have to hold the 2 buttons while you plug the TV in at the same time
Do you have a flashing indicator on the front of the TV when you plug it in or is it not doing anything at all?Last edited by freakaftr8; 02-28-2018, 03:17 PM.Did I leave the soldering iron on?

Re: Sharp LC-LE830u PS problem
So you can force on the power supply using the PS-ON pin but if you do not have PS-ON, BL-ON, DIM control signals when power switch is activated, none of those signals toggle high for second?
BTW, what is the correct model number of this TV?
