Re: Samsung UE40ES5700S blinks 5x2 in loop

Just found this :-) for the 46"

      https://www.electronica-pt.com/esque...d5500-r-32807/

But this is not really matching mine (Isn't it?). Compare SDA/SCL for example

      Found out that

      51 - 47 is Panel VCC 12V
09 was 3,3 V when the set was on (if I remember correct).

This could be good, especially for the harder to find mainboards.

            Hi nomoresonys,

thank you. Sending the board to the US and back will be also too expensive. The seller also "May not ship to Germany" according to the shipping description. In Europe there are also people who offer the repair of a Samsung bord. Most times they reflow the BGA or they swap the NAND / EEPROM for ~80 Euro. Prices for a new D5700 Mainboard are rising. Just seen someone wants 129,-- Euro for a used board. Crazy.

Re: Samsung UE40ES5700S blinks 5x2 in loop

              Hi,

just attached a V.56 from Banggood with such a LVDS Cable . Beware, you need the "right" one.

Here and here are good sources for knowledge seekers.

I've had some 5 Key pad laying around from such a lvds controller.

              v.56 Firmwares Link 1
v.56 Firmwares Link 2 from this site

I've also added the Samsung SmartTV logo as bootlogo.

Next steps will be to connect "somehow" the original D5700 keypad to the V.56 board and also connect the Samsung Power Supply as currently I have two power cords to the set. Do you know how?

              Note:

You have to change the LVDS mapping to 0 via the Service Menu (1147 on the remote)
Also flip the picture (Mirroring via the Service Menu)
The CPU is getting hot. I will add a heatsink.
The IR is sticked to some jumperwire. Those wires are soldered to the bottom pins of the V.56
I've added the Firmware I've used as attachement

              Cheers

Looks like you're making great progress, wonder what's making the cpu get hot.

                    @vinceroger69

It was Easy. Got the Info from here

                    1. Take a JPEG and store it on a thumb drive
                    2. Change Source to MEDIA on the V.56
                    3. Select the picture -> scroll right -> select "capture".

                    Thats it.

                    @nomoresonys

I think it's the Full HD resolution. As these types of boards are primary used for turning an old LCD/LED Monitor to a TV the most computer panels have lower resolutions.

                    ----

There are also Mainboard on the market with LAN/DVB-S2/DVB-T2/ANDROID...
As said; I had the old V.56 boards laying aroud as I got them for a few bucks on banggood sale.
For me the time paying unrealistically high prices for used mainboards are over.

                    Example 1 : ZL.VST.3463GSA.LB
                    Example 2: T.V56.81
                    Example 3: MSD628V6.0

So how do you adjust the backlights level? I do not see any interface between the backlights circuit and this new main board, or turning the power supply board on and off.
Great works getting the interface to work.

I have not yet done it. That's one of my "next steps"
Currently I have two seperate Power Cords (12V AC-DC to the V.56) and the original PSU. I'm not sure if the Samsung PSU can deliver the 4A current that is needed by the V.56. Have to measure it. I belive that the 4A is used if the V.56 delivers the 12V to the LCD Backlight inverters only. So I need to somehow wire the V.56 to the PSU that this one starts up and activates the LED Backlight.

Found some other intresting video. ;-)

This shows an V.56 implemntation into a 42" LCD

                                  Will keep you updated.

                                    Here's the update:

                                    Original IR Sensor works
Original LED works for triggering Remote Control buttons.
The Power indicator LED does not work.
Original touch sensitive buttons do not work (as they are chip controlled)

                                    Backlight power on works
Backlight dimming does not work! (I see the Voltages change on my DMM - but it does not have any impact on the Backlight)

The PSU is always on as there is no quick standby solution possible.
The V.56 needs always 12 V for Standby. But if I put the Samsung PSU into standby mode there are no 12 V present (Henn Egg Problem)

Will do a video later the day.

                                    Next steps:

Drill some holes for Micro Buttons to the Backcover.
Attach a Power Switch to the Backcover.
