Hi,

today I've received a second hand Philips ComPair II service device.

Here's the update:

Original IR Sensor works
Original LED works for triggering Remote Control buttons.
The Power indicator LED does not work.
Original touch sensitive buttons do not work (as they are chip controlled)

Backlight power on works
Backlight dimming does not work! (I see the Voltages change on my DMM - but it does not have any impact on the Backlight)

The PSU is always on as there is no quick standby solution possible.
The V.56 needs always 12 V for Standby. But...

I have not yet done it. That's one of my "next steps"
Currently I have two seperate Power Cords (12V AC-DC to the V.56) and the original PSU. I'm not sure if the Samsung PSU can deliver the 4A current that is needed by the V.56. Have to measure it. I belive that the 4A is used if the V.56 delivers the 12V to the LCD Backlight inverters only. So I need to somehow wire the V.56 to the PSU that this one starts up and activates the LED Backlight.

Found some other intresting video....

@vinceroger69

It was Easy. Got the Info from here

1. Take a JPEG and store it on a thumb drive
2. Change Source to MEDIA on the V.56
3. Select the picture -> scroll right -> select "capture".

Thats it.

@nomoresonys

I think it's the Full HD resolution. As these types of boards are primary used for turning an old LCD/LED Monitor to a TV the most computer panels have lower resolutions....

Hi nomoresonys,

thank you. Sending the board to the US and back will be also too expensive. The seller also "May not ship to Germany" according to the shipping description. In Europe there are also people who offer the repair of a Samsung bord. Most times they reflow the BGA or they swap the NAND / EEPROM for ~80 Euro. Prices for a new D5700 Mainboard are rising. Just seen someone wants 129,-- Euro for a used board. Crazy.

Just found this :-) for the 46"

https://www.electronica-pt.com/esquema/tv/samsung-esquemas-tv/t-con-samsung-bn98-03131a-s100fapc2lv0-3--46d5500-r-32807/

But this is not really matching mine (Isn't it?). Compare SDA/SCL for example

Found out that

51 - 47 is Panel VCC 12V
09 was 3,3 V when the set was on (if I remember correct).Re: Samsung UE40ES5700S blinks 5x2 i...r-32807/...

Hi,

Yes... It's blocked. It's Germany and the area im living is called "Bergstrasse"

Shopjimmy also not shipping to Germany (ebay.com)

Anyhow... The Mainboard is dead.

I will try to get a new one - but its hard to get one below 80,-- € which is to much for a set I found in the dumpster.

The T-Con still works :-)

I will try to "attach" an V.56...

OK, thank you for the info.
But why do all the Repair Kits contain the resistor...?

Another question. When I sub with one of the mentioned parts....

Why to sub both? Because of the different values?

Thanks

I've ordered one.

However - It would be good to know if this substitution would be possible for future repairs.

• Substitute an AS19-H1G with an AS-15 possible?

Hi all,

The AS19-H1G chip at my T-Con has some color problems.

Is it safe to replace the chip with an AS15 (G or F Model)?

I have no AS19 at home but a plenty of the AS15 models.

Thank You

Hi All,

I will receive a TX-P50UT50E with the 8 Blink on Saturday.

Just to be prepared in ordering the replacement parts:

What is the size of the 5R6 resistor. (R16051: D0GF5R6JA047)
http://www.resistorguide.com/resistor-sizes-and-packages/

Could I also use a 1Watt Rresistor instead of the 1/3Watt ?

Hi,

I also do have a LCD/LED Test Tool V 16.

I've attached it to the TCON
Powerd up the PSU without the Mainboard to have backlights.

No testscreen from the Test Tool visible. Used 3.3V and various 1920x1080 settings.
