    Panasonic TC-P54G25 Repair Guidance.

Ok before sending in SC board for repair I was hoping for some help/confirmation I am on the right track.(likely send to Ptsparts, any other recommendations?)
TV "popped" and then didn't turn on; 10 blink code, but actually 4 after replugging in and then 10 after power hit (tv clicks on at plugin then again a second or two later )
Saw service manual & not sure I did this right but tested for resistance: p11 seems fine p35 didn't know how to test this; Unplugged SC board from power supply (sc2/p2) plugged TV in got a 7 blink code
**Note manual says unplug sc20 (ribbon) to test though, is that a typo perhaps? I did try this and got same 4 blinks on plugin 10 after power button

    Thoughts/ideas? Thanks all!

Mate, since you are testing resistance simply try this.

    1. on the SC board, at conncetor SC2, two terminals what's the resistance?
    2. On the Sc board locate Q661 near the sc50 connector and on a heatsink of two transistors. Now check across any two of those legs of Q661 (RJP63F3A) are they shorted?

10 blink to 4 blink, sounds like typical SC fail, shorted SC2 scenario

Thanks for the help! Well I’m playing with the multimeter anyway, yet not too confident in my testing skills nor the harbor freight cheapo. 1)With dial set to “2000” (see Pic) pin near sc2 lettering 1384. Other pin 001
      2. Q661 both 1376

Unfortunately I don't have much confidence in what you're reporting. Symptoms suggest SC, I don't know how to guide you further

Ok thanks for the help, much appreciated. I thought the resistance info might just need to be adjusted different scale. i think I'll go ahead and order a repair, if any recommendations on where please lmk.

in post 3 it looks like your using the metal tv chassis as a ground what reading do you get if you test just across the two connector terminals

Thanks for the guidance. Same setting on meter yields same value for sc2
                Of 1384 ohms
                With q661. See Pic

A-b= 002 ohms guessing that's showing the issue?

Panasonic ZT60 plasma tv with strange behavior and 8 blink code
                  by cloo
I recently got my hands on a 60" Panasonic P60ZT60 plasma tv (european model) that has some strange issues along with an 8 blink code.
It know this tv is getting old but it was once considered one of the best plasmas ever made, and i think it is still holds on to that even by todays standards.

So, long story short. When i first got the tv it had a very bright washed out picture with very raised blacks in all picture modes and i couldn't find the cause in the picture setting menus.
After doing a factory reset this problem was gone and the picture was back to...

panasonic TX-P50V10E 6 blink led problem

                  Hi everyone,

I'm new here and trying to repair my Panasonic TX-P50V10E plasma TV, which is currently showing the 6 red blink error code.

Just for context: I'm used to building PCs and installing modchips in old consoles, but this is my first time trying to fix a TV. I'm French, and while my English is okay, I'm using ChatGPT to help translate and clarify my messages as much as possible — so please forgive any odd phrasing.

I'm also not very experienced with using a multimeter, but I'm very motivated and ready to follow instructions carefully and report...

                  Panasonic TH-42PZ800 8-blink error mystery
                  by nervx
Years ago my tv gave a 7 blink code which turned into 8 during diagnosis. I had ordered a replacement ss board but somehow the tv started working again and i never used the board. Now a week ago my tv flickered and shut off at random and gave the 8 blink error code. The same issue it had all those years ago. The only difference this time is that over the last few months there has been some purple and green tinge that comes and goes in more solid colors such as white.

Anyway i checked all the screws and replaced the ss board with a known good one and still got 8 blinks. I saw a...

                  (Another) 7 BLINK TC-P60VT60 Panasonic - NEWBIE
                  by SentraDude
Greetings from SoCal I am new to this forum but not new to forum world. I come from Automotive end of side which is my main passion in life. Give the automotive nature, I love fixing and restoring things and I have in the past fixed many simple electronics, soldering, etc.. but this is a bit more involved so I found this forum, and I am very glad I did.

I picked up a Panasonic TC-P60VT60 with the 7 BLINK error.
Upon removing the back plate I found spider webs, dead spiders, and an amazing amount of dust. I did my best to clean the surface of the boards with a portable vacuum...

Panasonic Plasma repair - TH-P60GT50 - Dead, 3 blink code
                  by rmacintosh
I aquired this Panasonic 60" plasma around the time my first child was born. It was meant to be a project tv, hoping to fix it chipping away at the repair in my free time. Well that was 2 years ago and i'm really just getting around to making a sincere effort to see if I can ressurect this beast.

The symptoms of the tv ar as follows:
                  • Plug AC in to back of TV
                  • After about 2 seconds the relay on the P-sub board will click on and then a fraction of a second later it clicks back off
                  • The 3 blink code is given by the power LED
                  • If the TV is unplugged and then
                  ...
