The set works aok with buttons on set. It came without remote and I have tried two different brands universal remotes on it with no result whatsoever. I know these remotes are working OK otherwise. So question is there any easy check I can do - the standby led is getting current and changes colour OK.

Re: AWA JTM32K212A-T ir sensor
You can use DC meter connect between GND and Signal pin the use the remote to see if you will see any Voltage fluctuation when you activate the remote, this does not mean it is putting out the correct signal but it showing if the IR module is active or not. You can also try the same test on other TV IR receiver to get some idea how much fluctuation you will get from working IR module.
You do have DCV at the VCC pin of the IR module, right?Last edited by budm; 01-09-2018, 10:53 PM.Never stop learning

Thanks budm yes there is 5v on IR pin and this fluctuates when pwr button activated on remote. Must just have an odd set which these universal remotes don't suit but that is unusual.Comment

Did run them both through auto search but no power off reaction. Set wasn't connected to a signal but channel number it was last on came up a couple of times. That was probably just the way it works unless remote was activating "info".Comment
