You will not be unplugging the whole connector just the individual pin for that DRV-ON. You can use a knife tip To pull up the plastic tab what that will allow the pin to come outDid I leave the soldering iron on?Comment

I tried to disconnect the pin as pictured and the TV turns on and remains the black screen, if I try to disconnect the 1st right from the motherboard the TV does not turn on has the initial problem or red led flashing white flashing and then nothingComment

nothing I also removed the DRV ON 3.5v the relay snaps but the TV does not stay lit red LED that flashes, after the flashing white and after no LED helpComment

So what your saying is back to trhe way it was with no DRV-ON connected and pin back the way it was your not getting any backlights?Did I leave the soldering iron on?Comment

practically with the jumper between pwr on and 3.5 volts the tv first showed the LG logo. Now always with only the jumper between PWR ON and 3.5 volts the TV does not start, the red LED flashes, the white flashes and then goes offLast edited by Moddingscreen; 12-30-2017, 04:42 PM.Comment

You have a mainboard problem. Most likely the main processor on the board or a voltage regulator not sending PWR-ON. Id try replacing mainboardDid I leave the soldering iron on?Comment

My LED died while checking on PS-ON test not seeing any voltage.
Here is result on PS-ON Pin 1 jump to Ping 9-10-11 or 12 (3.5V)
23 - N.C -> 0V | 24 - ERROR -> 0V
21 - 12V -> 0V | 22 - PWM -> 0V
19 - 12V -> 0V | 20 - N.C -> 0V
17 - 12V -> 0V | 18 - DRV-ON -> 0V
15 - GND -> 0V | 16 - VSYNC -> 0V
13 - GND -> 0V | 14 - GND -> 0V
11 - 3.5V -> 3.52V | 12 - 3.5V -> 3.52V
9 - 3.5V -> 3.52V... -
I have dug through my Dell utilities and located an old Dell Engineer's program which changes the Dell Asset Tag. I have used this SUITE of programs in the past to amend the Asset Tag on second hand motherboards I have installed.
I don't know if it works with the newer Dell laptops. You should use extreme caution in using these programs. As you can see the program is fairly old one.

My LG 42LW5700 doesn't power on. when tv plugged on the standby light is

I have an older system which was built in the Windows 7 era and which has developed, I suspect, a power supply problem. The system had the same problem, random crashes, a couple of years ago, which I subsequently remedied with a new power supply.
The power supply which came with the machine is a no-name "Safe Power PE-300". It is SFX form factor and claims a high current capacity: +3.3V @ 22A and 5V @30A (the +12V rail claims a meager 16A).
