You will not be unplugging the whole connector just the individual pin for that DRV-ON. You can use a knife tip To pull up the plastic tab what that will allow the pin to come out

So what your saying is back to trhe way it was with no DRV-ON connected and pin back the way it was your not getting any backlights?

practically with the jumper between pwr on and 3.5 volts the tv first showed the LG logo. Now always with only the jumper between PWR ON and 3.5 volts the TV does not start, the red LED flashes, the white flashes and then goes off

You have a mainboard problem. Most likely the main processor on the board or a voltage regulator not sending PWR-ON. Id try replacing mainboard
