    SHARP LED TV Model: LC-48LE653U

Hi Friends. I got this TV to repair today. When it is plugged into the ac the white indicator LED comes on the Backlights come on and on the screen I can see the SHARP logo for about 3sec then the set shut down and repeats this cycle. The pwr-on, blu-on signals from the Main Bd cycles. I have a constant 19Vdc std-by voltage. I tested the backlights and the top and bottom strings are 80.6Vdc, resp. I disconnected the Main Bd from the PSU and forced the PSU on with a bench 3Vdc supply the backlights came on and stayed on and is getting a healthy supply. The T-CON Bd is getting a good 12Vdc supply, but cycling with the rest of the TV.
I am thinking this is a Main Bd/Software issue. Is this diagnostic correct and if it is, could someone direct me to where I may get the software??

Thanks budm for your response. Is there a site where I may be able to download the software? I think the eeprom may be defective or forgot the info.Attached is a photo of the Main Bd.
The numbers I see on the label: CSD 3648-0122-0395 and another No.: 3648-0122-0150(4A)
I can't seem to find a replacement board either.

Thanks dick barton. I was wondering if a 'hard start' might help me reset this?? Press down the VOL DOWN and INPUT buttons then plug into ac. Think I'll try that and see what happens. Will report back

OK. Here is the update. I found and purchased an exact board off e-bay for USD 97.00. Kind of expensive but this was the only one available. I received it yesterday and installed it. IT WORKED!!!...TV is now fixed. I did not have to do any adjustments. Just plug n' play. Thanks budm you were correct, once again. Thanks to also to dick barton and vinceroger69 for helping me out here. Apparently this is a common problem with the LE653U series from the research done on other forums.

Converted to my currency that is TTD 710.00. The price of the TV is TTD 4500.00. The 'Customer' was happy to get his TV this morning. So I guess it worked out OK after all.

Driving a Sharp TCON/panel with a universal main board
                      by advant
This thread is about trying to get an Universal Main Board to work with a Sharp TCON and panel.

I have a Sharp LC-46D85UN TV that has had a main board issue. Since this model is from 2009, I am not able to find an exact replacement of the main board. Instead, I decided to see if I can future proof this tv by getting a Universal Main Board (T53U21.2) from China to work with the Sharp TCON (CPWBX4291TPZA) and panel. The universal main board supports a 8 bit dual channel LVDS interface whereas the TCON requires a 10 bit dual channel LVDS input. I have modded the LVDS connector to match...

Is it possible to upgrade from a Vestel 17MB97 main board to a 17MB110 Main board?
                      by cheeky2
I suppose the real question is whether the existing pinouts from ether a 17IPS71 psu are cross compatible with a 17IPS12 psu? If they are then the exchange of the main boards should have no issues providing the screen is compatible with both main boards. Obviously you can change the screen configurations easily enough (providing you have the correct files) for the main board. Why may you ask would I do this? Well a lot of the smart features are no longer working on a Hitachi 48HBT62U main board I wish to give it a new lease of life!
Obviously the same LVDS connector for the screen connection...

Sharp LC-60LE550U Mainboard F905FM06 DUNTKF905WE06TV Main board keeps dying
                      by m4a2t0t
What would cause a main board to die when you disconnect AC power to the TV?

This is the second board that it has happened with. All I am doing is disconnecting the power cord from the wall and plugging it back in.

I replaced the main board because I was not getting a signal on PS_ON when pressing the power button. The PSU was/is still sending its 5v standby signal

                      Thanks

LG 55NANO77SRA TV – Menu scrolling by itself even after removing button board (Main Board EBU66792103)
                      by ygorsan
                      Hi everyone,

I’m looking for help with a persistent issue on an LG TV model 55NANO77SRA, which uses the main board EBU66792103 (also used in LG UQ80 and NANO75/NANO80 series).

                      🧩 Problem Summary:
                      • The TV keeps scrolling through the menu or selecting items by itself.
                      • I removed the physical button board (the entire panel with power and volume buttons) and also disconnected the flat cable (CN202) from the main board.
                      • The remote control is not in use (batteries removed), and the TV still shows the same behavior.
                      • I

Help Needed: Samsung UE55MU8000 Dead - Possible Main Board Issue
                      by Asraf Atb
                      Hi everyone,

Im looking for some advice regarding my Samsung UE55MU8000 TV with main board model BN94-11606C. The TV suddenly stopped turning on and now shows no signs of life at all not even the standby light at the bottom.

Initially, I suspected an issue with the PSU, so I took it to a repair center. They tested it and confirmed that the PSU works perfectly, even on other TVs. Based on that, I started investigating the main board.

I disconnected the main board from the PSU, and the backlight turned on, which seems to confirm the main board is the issue....
