    Samsung LN32A330J1D - Discolored Image

Hello, all. I have been going through several threads looking for information on discolored picture on my Samsung LN32A330J1D. The picture shows up in black, white, gray, and some orange/red. When the menu is selected it appears perfectly fine. I have gone into the "hidden menu" and attempted to adjust things as I have seen that fix similar problems on YouTube, with no success. I was leaning towards replacing the main board vs the T con at this point, so I have ordered a Main Board. I am hoping this fixes it, although I am told it could easily be the t con or the screen itself? Much of my research shows similar issues, although, many have distorted screens that are full of color and not the black, gray, and white as I have. Any suggestions/guidance would be greatly appreciated! My buddy has a home entertainment business and I am now collecting his throw aways since I just found out he doesn't repair any of them! His trash, my treasure!

How about uploading the screen shot so we can see what the actual image looks like?

That is GAMMA Voltages problem, you will need to test bunches of GAMMA Voltages on the T-CON board.

Ah ok. Thank you for the quick response! Wish I found this site before I ordered the main board! The menu shows up perfectly normal (I should've taken a picture). I will be ordering a t con replacement!

Yes...a new T-CON Bd will fix your problem. This is a common fault with these sets.

you could try changing out the as15 chip yourself. if not, hold on to it and give it a try down the track.

Re: Samsung LN32A330J1D - Discolored Image

there is a small square chip called an AS15 or AS10 chip ( http://www.ebay.com/itm/1PCS-AS15-F-...8AAOSwNSxVDBlk ) when these fail you get this problem... I have replaced about a half dozen myself for this same issue... they have a fairly high failure rate and a heatsink will help them last longer.
