    Philips 46PFL3208H/12 broken HDMI sockets

    Hi guys
I have this Philips TV here, it's working but both HDMI sockets are broken

The vertical mounted one I don't have a suitable socket to replace it with

However the horizontal mounted one I do have a similar socket I salvaged from a scrap board

I also desoldered the broken socket without too much drama. The possible replacement I have fits to the board OK but is slightly lower profile than the broken one. However I could persuade it to fit the backing plate with a little bit of work on my dremmel

The only concern I have is the possibility the two HDMI sockets have the odd and even rows of pins the opposite way round. Does anyone know if this is a standard thing and all sockets are the same in this respect?

It's not easy to check with my DMM as the old one is badly broken as well as the pin pitch being tiny!

Alternatively, where could I get the correct type socket? All the ones on ebay say for PS4 as though that is the only device that could ever have a broken socket. Maybe gamers are cack handed

Pics - the one on the left is the broken one.

What a bitch that was to replace and resolder by hand! But it's done and working
