Sony KDL-46EX710 No Picture, no LED on or blinking

    Hi Guys,
I have this tv that was hit by a power surge apparently. The front led doesn't light up or blink. The Power supply clicks constantly with power applied. I read a tech manual that someone posted on the forum for this model. It says the power supply needs replacing. The particular power supply isn't as cheap or readily available as the last tv I got working, so was hoping the component level fix would be a bit more affordable and not too difficult to fix.

      TCON ON.
      DIMMER DC
      DIMMER
      BL ON
POWER ON. blips various low powers throughout clicking

The main board is getting the 3.3.V to run but it is not running, it is sending pulsing command signal Power ON (PS-ON) command instead of steady dcv of >2VDC, it is also not sending other commands as well as shown above.
Something is bad on the main board, the LED indicator should at least be on if the main board is alive.
Please up load the pictures of the whole backside of the TV showing all the boards.
Did any other devices that are connected to the TV are damaged too?

This is the reason I thought the power supply board was bad

At this point it points to the main board due to lacking the command signals not being sent to the power supply board, especially the pulsing PS-ON signal which should be steady DCV of more than 2 VDC. As to what the exact cause of the failure on the main board is I do not know.

Hello, Last week I bought the 50" Sony X80j tv everything was working fine, untill I plugged the tv in a ups power supply 650va the tv remote control became unresponsive and the TV became laggy after a while the picture quality isn't the same as before the tv seems less brighter and the picture is somehow blurry, people's faces don't look as natural as before, there is a mini orange-pink tint to the edge of people's faces especially in NETFLIX Dolby Vision like in One Piece ep1 Alvida skin tone, my intention was to protect the tv but something went wrong I checked the ups with a multimeter,...

Sony XBR-85X950G Gray horizontal lines and vertical picture shift diagnosis?
                      by noisykid
5.5 year old 85 inch Sony Bravia X950G started showing gray horizontal lines across the bottom of the screen and the picture shifts slightly vertically when it happens. The lines sometimes get bigger/smaller vertically and bounce back. See the video for the problem. It seems to be happening after it warms up after an hour or so. Happens regardless of source. Right now there's nothing but power cable connected and it's happening. We did hook up a new Nintendo Switch to our HDMI switching receiver today, and played for a while with no issues, but this problem didn't occur til a few hours later while...

green amber blinking stops after while and then starts again. tv responds to remote control on off etc. before installing new tcon backlite was coming on without backlite...
