Sony KDL-46EX710 No Picture, no LED on or blinking
Hi Guys,
I have this tv that was hit by a power surge apparently. The front led doesn't light up or blink. The Power supply clicks constantly with power applied. I read a tech manual that someone posted on the forum for this model. It says the power supply needs replacing. The particular power supply isn't as cheap or readily available as the last tv I got working, so was hoping the component level fix would be a bit more affordable and not too difficult to fix....

Re: Sceptre X505BV-FHDU8HJ1L01
So since I felt I wasn't getting anywhere with the power supply I decided to get a main board.... It fixed it. I'm guessing a return signal wasn't getting back to the power supply.
Thanks Dick Barton for the help!!

Re: Sceptre X505BV-FHDU8HJ1L01
Oh hell, I'm a dummy I have been focusing on the backside lol. Now I really feel dumb.
The initial replacement and the new replacement don't have any voltage anywhere. I'm going to email the vendor and cut my losses there...

Re: Sceptre X505BV-FHDU8HJ1L01
Ok so in my frustration and non patient self. I turned in the power supply board that I thought was non-functioning and received another. It didn't fix it.
I admit that I couldn't find D22 or D23 anywhere. I found D21, but not the others.

I'm sure you are going to say, ugh this guy doesn't remember a damn thing, but I just want to make sure I don't mess up anything else than what is the original problem LOL
so I jump from power supply board 5VSB to the cable plug PS_ON, correct?...
