    samsung un50eh6000fxza has backlight no picture

    Has a faint glow and all backlights light up. If I remove the right side (looking at the back of the tv) tcon to panel connector I get a clear picture on the right side of the panel (picture 1) and if I remove the left side connector (again looking at the back of the tv) I get a picture but not as clear (picture 2). I see lots of people having the issue on samsung LED tv's with backlight no picture but no one has mentioned removing one side of the tcon connector. My question is since one side looks fine when the cable is removed and the other looks washed out would this be a bad panel? I did replace the tcon with a used one I had in the store but I get the same problem.

      It could be a bad panel or a shorted ceramic capacitor on the thin board(s) between the tcon and screen.

          Thanks for the info. I ordered a tcon even though I could not find any bad components on the board.

                  yeah... I don't think a new T-con will fix that either.

                      You were right CapLeaker the tcon is not the issue but corrosion on the thin board to the panel. Cleaned that and now I a picture but it is distorted on the right side. If I move the tabs to the panel the picture gets worse.

                          Probably because of cleaning the screen.....
                          I only repair Panasonic plasma tv's! Currently owning a TX-P55VT50 and still searching for a ZT60!

                              Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
                              - sound and backlight, but no picture
                              - when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
                              - it keeps rebooting
                              - without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
                              - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
                              - when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

                              - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered...

                              i have a samsung lcd tv

                              it powers on with sound and backlight but no picture

                              all voltages from PS are good 12v 3.3v and 5v

                              whats odd is that at the tcon i tested voltage across the fuse on the tcon and i get 0v

                              i figured main board issue..so i ordered a used main board....when i put replacement main board in i still have same issue

                              no 12v at the tcon fuse

                              i disconnect the panel ribbon cables to rule out any panel issues and i still have no 12v at the tcon fuse

                              the odds of having 2...

                              Samsung UN55NU7300F Curved TV. Half side backlight out. Fixed by just removing the rear snap cover

                              TV was fixed just after removing Samsung's rear snap cover.

                              This curved TV's construction is rather interesting. When the snapped on back is removed, rest of the TV will relax the curvature. Top of LCD panel is loose as it wants to straighten out against the slightly curved bezel. Snapped back provide most of the curvature shape. So just simple disassembly of rear cover will allow the rest of the TV frame to relax its curvature. Thats probably what fixed it but no idea which connection. 4x LEDs are edge lit.

                              Maybe PSU->backlight connector didn't have a good contact?...

                              hey guys,

                              i bought 2 samsung odyssey g9's for a decent price. they both have the exact same fault. when plugged into a power source, the blue led powerlight shows, but when turned on there is no picture, no backlight, no menu, nothing. when plugged into a laptop the laptop recognises the monitor, but keeps disconnecting and reconnecting.

                              dont have any schematics or diagrams unfortunately. any ideas?
