Just used the thermal camera, and can't see anything suspicious. I imagine, the other side of the board is not heating up because the fuse it blown, but weirdly the power button still works, so I'm not sure how its getting power if the fuse is blown....

Ah okay. I will practice on some other small repairs and soldering first.
I bought a Lab power supply and thermal camera today. So that might help with diagnosing too?...Leave a comment:

for point P i connected red probe to ground part and black probe to point P in diode mode returned 0.000 / 0.0001
10 - 0.514
y - 0.469
w - 0.469
im not experienced with electricals (but i am learning). I only have DMM. I can buy any extra equipment needed though​...Leave a comment:

in diode mode it all comes out at OL, apart from 3-4 it is 0.417v
in Ohms it just from 12 all the way down to OL back up to 12 and keeps doing it.

ah i see. black probe on 3 and red probe on 2 returns 0.476v (in diode mode), otherwise everything else returns OL...Leave a comment:

yes! i checked the 2 circle highlight in diode mode in multimeter and it beeps and shows 0.000 on all 4 no matter which way i test in whichever combination...

i attached a better picture of the chip. i also attached pictures of the back of the board. in the picture marked A, there is continuity leading from that point to the blown fuse, and that has continuity to nearly everything on the back of the board apart from the transistor named B. there doesnt seem to be any continuity reaching that....

ive tried to draw the continuity lines, at point A, there is continuity everywhere with that side of the fuse. on the other end where the white line just 'ends' there is pretty much continuity on nearly everywhere on that side of the board so i stopped drawing the line...

yes sir. 10ohms and beeps in continuity mode.
i did a continuity check of 'B' side of the blown fuse and it beeps when i touch either side of C907. Are we getting close?...Leave a comment:

ive got a really good idea, i will use the continuity and trace the path from the fuses and after the fuses and mark them down on the board. should be easier for us to understand what is coming to the fuse and leaving the fuse...Leave a comment:

i found a short in capacitor (circled), its not close to the fuses though. I dont have thermal camera or lab power supply.
when i measured resistance the board was unplugged. i only tested the voltage with the board plugged in....Leave a comment:

i tested the 2 mosfets when the power was plugged in. both of the drains had 19v, the gate on both of them were 9v. does that give any clues?...Leave a comment:
