    Samsung un55js700d no picture

I have this Samsung UN55JD700D 4k tv that has sound but no picture. I bought a new tcon board from shop jimmy that didn't fix it. When I unplug the right side (when looking at back of tv) ribbon cable on the tcon I get a great picture on just the right side of the screen. The left side will just stay black. If I unplug the left side and leave the right side in I get nothing. All the backlights are working, and I don't see any swollen caps. Any help is appreciated.

I'm gonna open it back up today and poke around. I may buy a used board to throw in it and see if it helps.

Need to check for shorts on panel pcb boards. Maybe bad ceramic capacitor
I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.

i would not go buying more boards for this set. you are going to be looking at a panel fault, if you are lucky, you may have a bad cap on a driver board. it will be on the half that you can't get a pic from. left and right side will most likely be mirrored, so you can get some comparative readings.

Are shorted ceramics on the driver boards common? Anybody here actually find one? I've looked a bunch of times and never found one but sounds like there may be something I'm missing.

it is more often that it be cof failure, but we are always hopeful that it is something repairable, though not often the case.

I found one once, but it was like looking for sharks teeth on a beach. I wondered how rare the shorted ceramic capacitor on the driver board was. I guess it's one more thing to look for, but if I understand things right, cof's fail more often.

They are small boards and only take couple of minutes to check

Samsung TV model UE50TU: rebooting, backlight, sound, but no picture
                      by TR103
                      Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
                      - sound and backlight, but no picture
                      - when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
                      - it keeps rebooting
                      - without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
                      - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
                      - when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

                      - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered...

Samsung UN60EH6000F Black Screen, Backlight and Sound Good. Power Cycle Returns Picture
                      by Mgiffune
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and

Samsung UE50TU8000K no picture or lanes on it
                      by Dobsuk
Hi guys, i am dealing with one Samsung 50TU8000K which was without picture - just was resetting itself constantly. Saw some videos and read some post about simmilar issue and the advise was to try to tape cut off method and started to put tape on some of the pins on this ribbon cable:

And then i had picture but with lanes. Tried different pins and combination but could not managed to make it work without any lanes so far. Will keep playing with it though.
The weird thing is that i tried it again without any tape on the pins and now i have picture with just few lanes...

Samsung UE75TU7020k No picture, Standby blinks 2 times
                      by brithepi2k
My Samsung UE75TU7020k lights up fine when one of the ribbon cables are disconnected from the main board, lights stay on but not getting half a picture, I do the same with the other ribbon and put the other one in and lights stay on but not getting half a picture. The standby light flashes 2 times then reboots then it then tries to come back on again and just keeps looping until I take either one of the ribbon tables out (doesn’t matter which one I take out it stays lit when either one is out). I’ve tested the backlights but all working with none shorting out, I’ve replaced the main board...
